I haven't seen a really good answer for this yet. Rounded off abs mostly works, but it picks up goop off the track and gains traction. ABS is what we ran last year. Jesse said something about wanting us to run premade non abs drift tires, but I haven't been able to get much information about how well they work on carpet. Maybe bnr32 can help out here. I'm going to try a few things once the track is up - hard tires (40's), tape etc.

I'm running the yokomo drift spec tires (the ones without the rings) they offer alittle more traction that abs tires. But require more torque to break free. Not sure how they would run on ozite but I'm bringing along some abs tires just in case.

I'm drifting a TC4, velocity 5.5, with a yellow rx7 body. Anyone have 'RED SUN' decals??

This is not a big problem. Iv been drifting on abs for years now and it still does not match up to hpi/yoko & lifetime/preformace. We can setup cones and just drift on bare ground (if space). If we do decide to drift on ozite best thing to do it get fresh set of abs, it should no damage it. Or you can get some yoko tires and vend them off for this, would be good for people that cant get there hands them .

Cheers

Thanks Lewis, I guess I'll have to try out a few things too. The concept of "drifting" on "ozite" is kinda paradoxical, but oh well

Put me down for two classes Jesse.

Stock and Drift.

You can pre-register here or on friday evening or on saturday morning.

The drift class will have 1 special drift class trophy. Yes we will run it like a class. Based on total drift style, showman ship and of course then total laps drifting. Because the trophy is large end expensive we must charge the regular entry fee. Cheeper for you if you ran it as a second class.

I hear there are quite a few drifters comin so, I hope I don't get disappointed.

Here are the new banners for the show.............

Sargon,

If you are participating in this event, I reccomend taking advantage of the situation. By entering only the drift exibition, you are essentially paying 30 bucks to drive for 4 to 5 mins on saturday.

Eh? Jesse said "Yes we will run it like a class." Wouldn't that get some qualifiers too?

To OGR...

What's the procedure for this year to get into the venue? Last year I recall we had to pre-reg to get our name listed with the show organizers, to get in.

Sorry if I missed the event flyer but didn't seem to see it here
