Hello Racers!

It's back for 2015... the HB HPI Challenge Series! More details to be announced shortly.

Round 1 will be held on February 7, 2015 at HB HPI USA headquarters in Foothill Ranch, California! Track will open at 8:00 AM and qualifying begins at 10:00 AM. Limited power available, please bring your extension cords and power strips. Transponders available, however personals are recommended. Raffle prizes and awards for podium finishers in each A-Main!

Hello HB HPI Challenge Racers! Below are your class rules for 2015:

Electric Sport
• Sprint 2, E10, or other HB/HPI sport-level touring cars (RS4 Sport/Sport 2, Sprint, Cyclone S) only
• No option parts allowed
• NO race bodies allowed (Mazda 6, Stratus, Impreza Type A/B/C, Murdiego)
• Any HPI tire and spoked wheels
• Any 7.2V 6-Cell NiMH or 7.4V 2S LiPO battery may be used
• Box-Stock Saturn or Firebolt motors only. 15T limit. Any ESC may be used.

Electric Pro
• TCXX or other HB/HPI pro-level touring cars (Cyclone, Cyclone TC, RS4 Pro/Pro 2/Pro 3/Pro 4) and any Sprint 2, E10 or other HB/HPI sport-level touring car.
• Any option parts allowed
• Any HB or HPI body, wheel, and tire may be used
• Any 7.2V 6-Cell NiMH or 7.4V 2S LiPO battery may be used
• 17.5T Motor Limit / No ESC Timing (Blinky Mode)

HB/HPI Challenge Vintage Trans Am
• Open to any manufacturer 1:10 electric touring car
• Any HPI Vintage Trans Am Body
• HPI Vintage Racing D Compound 26mm Front (#4793) and HPI Vintage Racing D Compound 31mm Rear (#4797) only. Stock Foam Inserts must be used.
• Any HPI Vintage Wheel only
• Any 7.2V 6-Cell NiMH or 7.4V 2S LiPO battery may be used
• 21.5T Motor Limit/ No ESC Timing (Blinky Mode)

Nitro Sport
• Nitro RS4 3 RTR or older HPI RTR nitro touring cars (Nitro RS4/RS4 2) only
• No option parts allowed
• Any HB or HPI body, wheel, and tire must be used
• Box-Stock HPI Nitro Engines only .18 Motor Limit

Nitro Pro
• R10 or older HPI pro-level nitro touring car (Racer/Racer 2 and R40) and any Nitro RS4 3 or older HPI RTR nitro touring cars
• Any option parts allowed
• Any HB or HPI body, wheel, and tire may be used
• Any nitro engine may be used .15 Motor Limit

Rallycross
• WR8 3.0 or WR8 Flux rally cars only
• Any HPI Rally car body
• Any WR8 wheel and tire may be used
• Box-Stock 3.0 Nitro Engine or Any 540 Size Motor (2S 7.4V LiPO battery only)

I would like to thank our competitors in our Electric Open class in 2014 for supporting. At this time we would like to introduce an opportunity for you and Vintage Trans Am enthusiasts to delve into a series class that utilizes all things HPI VTA! All manufacturer's chassis are allowed in this class, and we hope to see it breathe more life into the local on-road scene with its low costs and scale realism
