Default transponder kind?

hey guys i usually use house transponders and am now going to buy one. will the "3wire" my laps work everywhere? or do i have to spend 110 for the rc4?

thanks in advance.

ps i race ocrc, hot rods, scvrc and others around.

MyLap software was updated in 2013. the 3 wires is for the updated version MyLap. I was told that the 3 wire will not work in my system. Well there is only one way to find out, get one and test it here. if it doesn't work here then it wont work in most places. Personaly, I recommend RC4 2wires or the other ones in the photo. I hope this is helpful.

My understanding is that the 3 wire PT won't work everywhere. The advantage to it is you can track your laps and races throughout your racing career per say. The two wire works just about everywhere. The older AMB PT also works just about everywhere. It is just bigger than the newer transponders. Just so you know I bought the 2 wire PTs. Good luck with your choice.
