Default moving to California got some questions.

All right I'm getting ready to move to gustine California from Knoxville tennessee and I'm wondering what tracks are close by and what classes are popular? I'm a fan of electric off-road but will run on road like USGT or VTA. Hoping the 1/10 buggy 2/4wd class is strong and the stadium trucks. Thanks in advance.

I know OCRC is a very popular track in the southern California area. They are located in Huntington Beach. If you are doing on-road there are a handful of places such as CVRC in Chula Vista, Road Runners in Camarillo, and TQRC raceway. All of those you do have to travel a decent amount to get to them but always fun and all have a decent amount of people showing up.

Moving to Gustine isn't going to give many options close by. For your 1/10 fix you can go to Modesto RC raceway. Its about 30 min or so from Gustine. For onroad racing you have to go to Nor cal Hobbies about 90 min from Gustine.

You can get more info on the Norcal scene on rcracing.com

I Race in fresno @ Hobbytown it is about hour and 20 minutes from Gustine all freeway no traffic. We race Outlaw VTA and GT3 class 21.5 gt cars no tire rules. Also 17.5 touring, F1, Mini, and growing Novice class Our VTA class is small 3 /5 cars but our gt class has 10 cars. We have been getting between 40/60 cars every weekend. For more info on tracks from Madera to Exeiter bunch of off road tracks some are very nice track.
We have a Forum that is popular out here check us out. We race every week.

Nothing in San Jose, but Norcal Hobbies is located in the east bay (Union City) and they have three great offroad tracks. Dedicated outdoor 1/10 and 1/8 courses and an indoor clay track for 1/10. Delta R/C is located in Antioch. I've never been there, but the track looks top notch from the photos.

I live in Gustine... Feel free to contact me via Private Message if you have any questions. My kid and I race 2wd Mod Buggy.

NorCal Hobbies is the best place for everything and easy to get to from here (90 minutes away). More info on the rcracing.com website.
