Default 2013 JBRL Southern California Electric Offroad Series

Hello racers!!! The 2013 JBRL season is rapidly approaching and I just wanted to start a new thread to discuss our 10th anniversary season!!! Below is a list of the 2013 electric classes that will be offered along with the rules and regulations for the series. Please feel free to post any questions you may have or discuss anything JBRL!!!

2013 JBRL electric classes:

-2wd Rookie (17.5 No timing) (Any 2wd 1/10 buggy, stadium truck or short course truck)
-Stock Buggy (17.5 No timing) (No chassis sponsored drivers of any percentage)
-Stock Truck (17.5 No timing) (No chassis sponsored drivers of any percentage)
-Modified Buggy
-Modified Truck
-Modified 4wd
-Stock 2wd Short Course (17.5 No timing) (No chassis sponsored drivers of any percentage)
-Modified 2wd Short Course
-Sportsman 4wd Short Course
-Expert 4wd Short Course
-Electric 1/8


2013 JBRL electric series rules & regulations:

ONLY ROAR APPROVED MOTORS AND BATTERIES WILL BE ALLOWED IN ALL 1/10 CLASSES. (Electric 1/8 is open motor and battery).

Although this is NOT a ROAR series, certain ROAR rules may be enforced at the discretion of the JBRL race director & tech crew.

6 Cell NiCd/NiMh or 2S lipo only for all 10th scale classes.

All Rookie & Stock classes must use a 17.5 motor and no timing or boost is allowed in the speed control. Timing is allowed in the motor.

Awards for top 3 in the "A" mains at each event.

Awards for top 10 at end of series (Only top 5 will receive points fund money payout).

Two qualifiers and single mains at each event.

The number of vehicles in a qualifying race or main event may vary depending on the track/drivers stand size.

Best 5 races count, 3 throw outs.

1 car bump up format.

All 10th scale "A" mains are 6 min races. All lower mains and qualifiers will be 5 minutes.

Electric 1/8 scale "A" mains are 10 min races. All lower mains and qualifiers will be 5 minutes.

Racers must attend 5 of 8 events to be eligible for end of series awards.

Top 3 finishers in Rookie Stock must move up to next higher class.

$30 1st entry, each additional entry $20.

No pre entries, registration the morning of the event, at the track. Some events will have registration the day before.

Practice from 6am to 8am. Racing begins @ 8:30am.

JBRL points fund in effect.

No chassis sponsored drivers of any percentage are allowed in the “stock” classes.

No membership required!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should be another great year guys. Last years tracks were a great blend of what we race on here in So Cal and produced some insane turnouts and some amazing racing. Can't wait to do it all again this year!

+1. Cant wait for March 2nd. Looks like i should be able to make 6/8 rounds. SDRC and Palm Desert is too much of a drive for me, the closest round to me is still a 2.5hr drive each way.
