The Proving Grounds, 1:10th Scale RC Drift Competition, Sacramento, Feb 6th, 2011
Ok, so here it is. Our first open competition available to anyone who feels like showing up and paying the entry fee. We will be taking everyone no matter if they pay now or show up at the last minute with 20 bucks which will be the entry fee. This will also be helping to fund the new track as well. So to answer the questions and misconceptions I have heard so far here is the data.:
* The competition will be held on Februrary 6th, 2011.
* Times are 10am - The End (10am Practice Time)
* 20 dollar entry fee, you can pay the day of the comp if you don't hear about it early.
* This is an indoor comp so no easy-ups will be needed.
* We will be trying to provide tables and power strips (You may want to bring one just in case we don't have enough)
* The competition will be at the Driven Authority, 8131 Alpine Road, Sacramento.
* Competition ruleset is here: http://drift916.5gigawattlizard.info...AsOf020211.pdf
* The competition will be divided into 2 classes: Pro and Pro Amatuer (Novice)
* Pro Am Class will have no technical restrictions.
* Pro Class is supposed to be T-Drifts only (I am fighting this rule tooth and nail to allow open choice)
* I will put more data on the competition here as it becomes available.
