I wish there was a bigger announcement made about soft packs being leagal. I have already purchased hard-packs that are not as good as some soft packs that I could get.

Many of the current record holders used hard case lipos and honestly there is no difference between hard case and soft pack lipos. The case is merely for safety.

There is a difference with running in the mini-class. There is only one manufacturer that i have found that makes hard-case lipos to fit in the 18th scale, with only one MAH ( 1800 ). Considering that I can fit 2200-2500 MAH soft-packs, it makes a huge limitation.

My issue with the late / small notification of soft packs being allowed is that I may not be able to aquire them in time for the run, and I have already purchased the hard-packs.. The post on the ISC forum was that soft-packs would not be allowed any more ( except for a last-minute allowance for the Kansas meet ). Now I may be at a dis-advantage to the other participants in my class.

Well that has not been my experience in high speed running but then again I only run 1/10 scale cars.

What is your name?
Where are you located?
Are you signed up for the USR Fontana?

I have fresh packs matching your description you are welcome to run, and even if you prefer a certain brand (I have good connections) and I am sure I can get you all the power you need for the weekend.

Let me know I will try to do whatever I can to get you the best chance at setting a record.
