To all who have been lucky and fortunate enough to have known Rich, he has gone to a better place now. WE will have a 1 day memorial race for him on Sunday, May 30 at Surf City Raceway. All the proceeds will go to his Wife to help with there time in need. She will also auction off his RC stuff as well. So to those who happened to have the 5th Sunday off this month, Come On and Join us! Surf City Raceway is located at 18100 Golden West St. Huntington Beach, Ca 92648.
Cost is $20 to race. This is no trophy race. No special prizes. Just a race to help a good friend's family. Thank you.

Come on boys and girls, if you are not going out of town for the Memorial Day weekend (how befitting, a Richard Smith Memorial race on Memorial Day weekend) what better way to spend your time than having tons of fun racin' and remembering an old friend and racer? Even if you didn't know Richard (your loss) you can still come out and have some fun with the knowledge that (hopefully for all of us) you don't have to work on Monday, so NO EXCUSES! Let's make this a day to remember, Rich would have wanted it that way! SURF CITY, MAY 30, 2010. See ya there..............................

If we can get a count on the racers who plan on making it out(and not racing at Reedy) please post away...we will have until Tuesday to make the final decision to see who is gonna make it or not. Again, this is not a trophy race, or promotional race. This is a race dedicated to a good friend, for his family.
