Sweet! We've been running 12th scale at BCR and it's starting to spark some interest. You wouldn't believe how many racers have come up to me and tell me that they either have a 12th scale or is going to get one for the OCRC carpet track. That would be great since 12th scale is inexpensive, fast, and durable!

12th scale is very inexpensive compared to some of the touring cars nowadays.

Yes it is...After the IIC I bought the CRC Gen X for a couple hundred new. I used a combination of Wynn's, Smyka's and Calandra's stock carpet set-up and came up with my own. The only hop-up I purchased for the car was the rear pod that centers the brushless motor. I put on a set of tires that the guys were using at BCR and the car was dialed. I was impressed because the car is actually designed for carpet. Anyway everything in RC is expensive because of what goes in them but believe me I finally have a 12th scale car that is predictable. Now to learn more about it.

Recent findings:
BCR- purple front/ grey rear Jaco Prizms
dbl pink front/ pink rear

Beltran's- lilac front/ pink rear

tires seem to be around 70% of this game. put on the right ones and it's half the battle but there will be better combinations out there

The carpet should be awesome, I cant wait to run myself. I was going to sell my 12th scale but I'm saving it to whoop up on GTRtuned in the near future.

You guys have got me shoppin around for s120s, and Ive never even driven a 12th scale. I think a Saturday night race would be cool. I dont know, maybe people could race parking lot during the day and carpet at night, although that would be a long day. It would be good for me because it would give me more time to get up there.

Best of luck to you guys, i think its really cool that you're willing to put up that much time and money to bring us the forms of racing that we want. Makes me wanna move to Irvine.
