Great night of racing tonight besides one minor incident that I won't get into.
Only thing that I would like to say about the whole day is when I went out to marshal for a few mins before the race. I have 3 complaints to most of the drivers.
I would yell where a car is since the owner does not care enough to yell when he is upside down at then end of the straight away. I thank Kevin for helping me by yelling it for you. I do it when I am on the stand for myself and others, why can't others?
I would be walking towards it and see people blast by it not even bothering to slow down and on a few occasions hit the car that I was going to get. All I ask is that you slow down until you I at least pick up the car.
Finally, it was a quite fun experience having cars jump past me less then a foot away while I am waiting to get a car. Again, Robert said something but some of you still did it. Just roll over a jump where you local marshal is to avoid injury to the people that are trying to help you.
I have no problems going out there, but when people do things like this... I only have one thing to say, my safety takes priority over you expensive toy car.

The cost: $10.00 per class plus 1 unwrapped gift for a child or a mom
I know times have been a bit tough on everybody but now is the time to step up and show that the R/C community cares!
We will open the doors at 9AM and racing will start at 12PM
I promise this will be a fun and rewarding event for all of us.
The Moms and the kids will be here to cheer you on!
As always,
Peace
RB
Robert Black and OCRC, this is an amazing event you are hosting and we would like to contribute to this great cause. Unfortunately, we are hosting the 2009 KO PROPO race on the same weekend of the His Nesting Place Charity Race. We would like to contribute 10% of all racing from the KO PROPO race to this great cause. We probably can't match your $10 per person donation along with the toy but what we will do is donate 10% of all entries to this great cause. We would urge anyone to donate to this event and help the women and children who need every bit of our help. This is a great idea and West Coast R/C Raceway is proud to support it. If anyone would like to donate a toy to this great race we will make sure it get's to the right peoples hands. Anyone from OCRC, please feel free to drop some flyers off at our track so we can help promote this cause.

whats the tire choice for buggy?ive got taper pins and ribs for the front, suburbs and double ds for the rear, how do holeshots and gold bars working?
I run hole shots and ribbed losi fronts, and love them. Mine holeshots have less then .010" of pin on then with over 80 runs and I still can traction roll my buggy. I am currently using 40wt oil, blue springs, #2 pistons, inside on the arm and middle on tower.
DD work, but once they are half gone I have no traction.
Bar codes are good, I personally hate them. You need to set the car up really soft to get traction(green springs, 25wt oil, inside/outside shock tower/ arm) in the rear.
It just depends on how you drive, do you drive with the throttle or steering? I drive with steering and holeshots work great on my B4. Setup is really important with the different tires.

Pink losi BK bars, gold JC barcodes and MC proline suburbs all work great at OCRC. Some poeple still are holding out with holeshots but I don't feel they are the fastest tire. DD's work great as well but again a slower tire. They feel good around the track but don't produce the forward bite and you can see it in the lap times.

+1 Casper is on it, even though he likes that onroad girly stuff.

Evil Twin truck and buggy tires in R3, ya need em? I got em! PM me.
I have 3 offroad to one onroad car. 12th scale is fun. 8 min is a long time to run one of those cars around a track with 10 sec lap times. Offroad will always be my home though!

So RB, for the charity race... What kind of toys could we bring to the moms?
Are we talking cooking utensils? Or Taylor type Utensils?
Im totally at the gym and I see some moms that could use some Taylor type utensils. So I was just wondering
