DHW Raceway, Parking lot racing - San Diego, CA
In case of those that didnt know, there's parking lot racing again in San Diego again! Discount Hobby Warehouse, and race organizer Frank Mijares (Of Franks Bodies) are working together to bring a great race program that keeps attracting more and more racers every race day! Racing is open to anyone and everyone that has an r/c car and wants to try their hand in racing.
It looks like right now, racing is taking place every 2nd and 4th sundays, though schedule is subject to change. Track opens at 8am, and racing starts at 10am. Racing usually concludes around 3-4pm.
Discount Hobby Warehouse's address is (to mapquest)
7644 Clairemont Mesa Blvd
San Diego, CA 92111
(858) 560-9633
Currently there are on average of 7-9 heats per round. Racing includes two rounds of qualifying, and the Mains. Classes are Stock Sedan, 19-turn Sedan, Modified Sedan, Nitro Sedan, and 1/18th scale mini's. If there are enough cars of any other different class, a new class can be started and raced.
Brushless motors, and LiPo batteries are allowed for racing.
Come on out and enjoy a great day of R/C Racing!!!

Yesterday was fuuuuuuuun! 8 heats was nice and gave you lots of time to work on your car and not be rushed at all. Racing Nitro Sedan was fuuuuuuuuun! My NT1 wasnt even winding out in 1st gear. Ive never even used 2nd gear ever.
Its fun racing with old faces from the past when there was a 2 hobby shops racing parking lot like what...5 years ago?? Its been to long...too long.

I thought the same thing but at least this weekend works out better because it doesn't fall on the same weekend as the OC Circuit races.
