Default When do I make it an issue?

How long do I wait before making it an issue? Sent someone payment last week and they have yet to send me any kind of notification it has been mailed and I have sent them a message asking what's up and they have not bothered to respond. They have signed in a bunch of times over the last week.

I have received another package from someone else here and two packages from Amain in that time so the holiday is a bad excuse.

Personally I would consider this:

- When exactly last week was payment sent (are we talking Saturday?)
- Prior to you sending payment, were they really responsive
- When they signed in did they post in any threads
- what is their feedback rating and how long have they been a member?

If it was truly a full week, no response, and I can see they were actively posting, I would send them a message stating that I was planning to open a payment dispute in say 24 to 48 hrs (this would depend on how often I had seen them logging on) if I didn't hear back from them.

At that point, it seems those who don't respond often do. Not Always of course, but that has been my experience.

in the future, I would get the seller to commit to a timeframe when an item would be shipped. That is what I have been posting my forsale listings so there is no confusion on when your product will leave here and other incidentals as part of your purchase.

A week is way too long. They should respond to you the same day or the next day at the latest and the item should ship within 2 days unless they make other arrangements with you.

I agree with JTR. When you post an item for sale you need to be prepared to ship ASAP after payment received unless otherwise agreed to. No excuses.

Payment was made last Friday. Today is a week.
Yes, they responded in a reasonable time.
No, they didn't post anything when they signed in outside of changing the post to sold.
They have over 100 positive sales and have been a member since 2009.

Contact them to check the status. If they sign on today and don't respond escalate it.

Based on that I would send a message advising them of what I stated and go from there.

He may not have had the opportunity to ship Saturday, there was no mail Monday, so technically, it's only been 4 days so yes, communication could be improved alot. It's happened to me and it does get frustrating. What does it take to post a message saying, "Item shipped and here is tracking/confirmation number". Pure Laziness!!! Personally, I'd wait till Monday and if nothing by then, file a claim. That'll get'em going.

Seller contacted me with a shipping notice and an explanation. It will be here tomorrow. My apologies for raising a hubbub over nothing.

I don't blame you. I would have been concerned as well.
