Default Be ware of scammer

Guys be aware of this guy. He claims to be other people on here via text. His number is 720-464-8743. We had worked a trade. I was trading him my os speed and novarossi keepoff for 3 trition motors. I Shipped and gave him tracking. He never did and keep saying we would. Finally I sent a pm to the guy he said he was. Was not him. Just a really nice guy with high trader rating. So i called post office and had them send me my package back before it reached him. Post office also informed me i am not alone. This happens all the time with this address and has been for years. They were asking me what was going on. Guy will have pics and everything of things he wants to sell or trade you. Will sound very legit. Here is the address to watch out for . P.O box 10 Moorhead ms 38761. Post office says the guys uses different names all the time. One he gave me was shona clays

Here's my question. Not that anybody can likely answer, but anyways. If the post office is well aware of issues with this individual, why don't they do anything about it? Supposedly using USPS to steal from people is considered wire fraud or some sort of felony. If they know he is ripping people off, why not wait for him to visit his P.O. box and arrest him? Seems simple enough if what the OP described is true.

I realize that this would require someone to get up off of their comfy chair and exert some physical labor, but it doesn't seem like it should be too difficult to stop this guy.

I agree with bold statement (slightly edited) I mean why would you want to post your personal info on the web anyway it's like screaming "I love scammers!"

because most people probably do what i do when i MUST use texts as communication for a deal (only for pictures and if it's a good enough deal that i bother trying to get pics). i use one of those free text apps and get some dummy number.

I've done lots of deals in the past over text only after contact made through pm. It's easy to screenshot for evidence. I will also say that I now do it less and less. The amount of wackadoodles is growing considerably and I don't need one having my cell number. I use my email most of the time although its less convenient. The forum is setup with our email in our contact when you click our username just for that purpose. Unless you set it up not to. The age of the good ole guys where a handshake or saying we have a deal is coming to an end it would appear.
