Default Purchased an ESC and program card NOT WORKING

So on October 1st I bought a turnigy 120 amp turbo esc and program card from user REDRUM. I tried to contact him multiple times through texts, emails, and PMs. I got one reply from "his wife" who said he was on a hunting trip in Alaska (back in December) and he would contact me upon return. I still am having issues and have had no luck contacting him. PayPal is a dead end since the purchase was for non-eBay goods. Any help in getting in touch with REDRUM would be appreciated.

If you paid with PayPal for "goods and services" it doesn't matter that it's not from eBay...

Well when I selected the transaction they said there was nothing they could do. I forget exactly how it was worded. I'd really like to get in touch with the seller somehow

You may have waited too long before taking action which is why PayPal refused to open a claim.

Well, it appears I have made 2 mistakes. I paid as a gift (won't be doing that again) and I waited too long. Really wish the guy would just answer so we can resolve this, especially if he is still actively signing on and reading my PMs.

How do I ask a moderator for help?

If you paid as a gift, there's nothing that paypal or a moderator can do for you. Only thing a moderator might be able to do is ban the guy if he turns out to be a scammer.

As far as your money and/or esc goes, you're beat because you basically GAVE a stranger your money.

Yup, I won't be making that mistake again. Live and learn. I would like help from a moderator and look in to suspending redrum's account. I have sent him another PM asking for a reply and informing him that I will be requesting he be banned if this isn't resolved.

Did the guy request payment via paypal like that, or did you just do it that way???

Also send him a link to this part of the forum so he can express his side of the deal!

Good idea. I sent him a link.

His for sale ad was just basic info with his cell number. I'll try to find it and put a link to it in this thread as well.

It's in the rules...NOT to pay as gift or REQUEST it from any buyer.

I'll be honest. When I look at his account as a seller, I see a guy with 4 positive feedback ratings from buyers AFTER you made your deal, and 23 positives in total. I can send him a PM asking about this situation but at this point, I can't ban him for anything...well based on the PM I sent him I can. But we'll see what he says.
