Seller does not leave feedback until he/she knows buyer is happy. This usually means they left the seller feedback. If buyer never leaves feedback for seller, seller won't either. To many sketchy transactions have happened to post feedback for fast payment +1 then buyer ends up being a turd. And yes we've seen the scam on buyer side not just sellers.

I agree that no feedback should be left until a transaction has taken place! Once I pay for an item as a buyer with a seller I am entitled to feedback based on how I handled the communication with the seller. This feedback should be left immediately for he buyer from the seller.

Ideally a seller should NOT leave feedback for a buyer simply because they sent payment.

I completely disagree with this! Case in point I recently bought an item on here and have not received any feedback/trader rating from the seller. His response was simply, "Send to Receive"! I hate to break it to all you guys on here but that isn't how this is supposed to work! His feedback on the transaction from his end has nothing to do with my feedback on my end. The seller's feedback SHOULD ALWAYS COME BEFORE the feedback of the buyer. The sellers feedback is based solely on how the item was paid for and how smoothly the communication went to get the seller paid for the item!

The buyer's feedback is based on how quickly the item was shipped, what info was provided in terms of the shipping and if the item received was what he was expecting to receive based on the sellers description. I you aren't satisfied with the item received then the seller should be contacted before any feedback is left and given the chance to correct any problems! Once all is resolved and seller has been given a chance to do something then feedback should be left by the Buyer for the Seller. The buyers feedback should never come before the seller for any transaction. They are completely separate from eachother and completely unrelated!

Hopefully this makes sense because this is how it should be done and the correct way to leave feedback whether you want to believe it or not.
I'm curious...Since you've never sold anything on this site, isn't your opinion slightly biased? Assume you were a seller....You have the misfortune of dealing with a buyer who, after you left your positive feedback for simply because they had the cognitive ability to click "pay now". Turned out to be, through no fault of your own; the most unrealistic, unpleasable, PITA person that you've ever met? Or by some chance they turn out to be a scammer. Do they still deserve positive feedback simply because they paid you? What do you do now....? Leave a new negative feedback rating, sorry that's not allowed. Contact a moderator to remove your positive rating so you can leave a negative one? Guess what, ALL feedback changes run through ME. And the first thing I'm going to ask you before I waste my time is.."Why didn't you wait to leave feedback until you knew they were happy?"

I doubt you'll reply to this post, but like I said. You're entitled you your opinion, even if it's wrong.

Ok, because you are a moderator you automatically right I guess! Sure I guess with the type of thinking that goes on today, you must be right!

Yes I have never sold anything on here before but this will change in the near future because I have alot of stuff I would like to get rid of that is doing nothing currently. Having said that, you are missing my point all together. Life is full of WHAT IF's! If I don't get feedback from a transaction because someone is too lazy to give it then oh well! I didn't get feedback but I left it for that person. Bigger problems to worry about IMHO.

My point of my response is that a person's feedback for another individual from a sale/transaction should not be based on the feedback that they left for them! If You are up front and honest with what you are selling then you shouldn't have any problems. If your trying to pass off JUNK as good stuff then you might have some issues coming your way.

As for the feedback and someone leaving you a negative response that you don't feel was fair, you should be able to respond one time to that negative response with you own explanation of what happened if you care to.

Wasted too much time on this already! Sorry that my thoughts are WRONG because im not a moderator on here but I asked my seller a couple of times about the feedback and eventually I got the response SEND to RECEIVE! How in the hell do I know that he is gonna send me back feedback if he is so reluctant to send it in the first place?

So honestly, this goes both ways for the SELLER and the BUYER!

I asked you several questions, 5 to be exact. You answered none of them. All you did was bring up the fact that I'm a moderator. What does that have to do with anything? I asked valid questions based on your post. And again, you didn't answer any of them, why not? I'm not automatically right simply because I'm a moderator. You'll find plenty of people on here who will tell you that I'm as fair as they come, but I'm also HONEST. Your original post in this thread, in a nut shell, said that you as a seller should receive feedback once you've paid for an item. My short, simple and yes sarcastic reply was that you're wrong.

My second reply gave you the opportunity to argue your point if at all possible. But you choose to comment about me being right because I'm a mod instead. True or false?

In theory you're right, a seller should be able to leave positive feedback once they're paid. The reality is you're not leaving feedback just for them making payment. You're leaving feedback based on the WHOLE transaction, which includes both the buyer and seller being happy. How can you do that if you leave feedback simply because you were paid??

Everyone is entitled to their own ideas and opinions. But to have any validity you need to be able to defend those ideas and opinions. Can you in this case?

that ends the debate, or it should.

turtle, you're trying to live in a black and white world that is full of gray. you don't know because you haven't done enough deals. a lot of things can go wrong when two completely honest people get together for a deal. what one person thinks is reasonable, the other may think ridiculous. how those people come together for a solution is part of the entire transaction. if i buy a roller from a guy who posted pics of it before his last race day and he never cleaned it but it is still functionally 100%, am i entitled to a partial refund where i still get to keep the roller? i will tell the guy "if you don't refund me $50, i will just file a dispute with paypal, send them pics, and they will issue me a full refund and you will have to pay the return shipping". is that reasonable? i'm basically extorting the guy. does that still make me a good buyer because i paid "quickly"?

there are 10,000 scenarios that i could come up with where the buyer is a jerk after they pay. paying is part of the transaction, not the whole thing.
