Spookie, good find... thanks...
So I finally get a text from him that he will cancel shipping. So I responded, if I have tracking it would be fine. The inconsistent responses are annoying.
How is there a way to ship from the post office on Sat and then cancel on Monday afternoon his time? I would think once you ship it, the package is on it way...

I don't think there is. But it's easy to "cancel shipment" when it was never sent in the first place. If I were in your shoes I wouldn't worry too much about it and just wait for paypal to give you your money back. You filed a claim before he removed the money from his account. That's the only reason he wants you to close the claim (DO NOT DO IT), because you have tied up the money.
He has a certain number of days to respond to paypal in an appropriate manner, otherwise they side with you and you get a refund. Something tells me he has nothing to provide them.
Even if he does provide a tracking number do not close the claim until you have what you bought in hand and have looked it over. Do not trust this guy.

T, you can have the postmaster grab the package and return it to the sender. It's a pain, but you can. Since you never saw a tracking #, it's anyones guess if it really even shipped. Just stay the course man, let PP deal with it.

Just FYI, when I made my earlier post relating my experiences, member in question was viewing the thread. He was showing as a viewer in the bottom panel.
Since he already had an opurtunity to comment/explain, I doubt he will do it now... Unless something else changes.

Whatever you decide to do please dont cancel the claim, right now its your only leg to stand on. You need to keep being vigilante and pursue this deal. We will never get rid of the scammers but if we all work together at least we can eliminate some people from losing their hard earned money!!!

His reply to me yesterday...
"That guy is crazy I told him I was on vacation and when I got back I would ship it out which I did on Saturday. non stop blowing up my phone because he is Not patient. It was my fault for not sending him the tracking right after I sent it out. I told him I was 2 hours away from my house for a race and I will be back in the morning but he didn't have any patience for that so he opened up a PayPal claim. and that really pissed me off so he can have his refund and I will sell my item to someone else locally."
