Default Always Cover Yourself

I recently had some awful dealings with one of the most delusional people I have ever met.

1. He sold me DX3r that didn’t work as stated plain and simple!
2. He pushed hard to sale the radio as a gift. I refused and paid extra good move for me!
3. I tried to explain to him what was going on with the radio, but he mentioned, “I am getting deployed to Iraq, can’t help you” BS (SCAM ALERT).
4. The steering on the radio will get stuck! I am not about recalibrate potentiometers every time I use a radio!
5. PayPal to the rescue!
6. He then tried to say I kept the receiver. I suspected he would do some BS like that, and I covered myself.

He is mad now and trying to rally some RC-Tech supporters to save his pathetic feedback rating. I am not going to force anybody to take my money!

Guys, I shared my experience to say don’t buy anything without being covered! The $10-$20 you save is not worth it if you lose hundreds!

If you had a negative experience with a user on a specific transaction, posting their forum name and/or the thread for the sale helps. We can then decide if it is someone to avoid in the future.

It's not your duty to pay someones transaction fees. Don't do it! Furthermore, if someone asks for a payment as a gift, do the right thing and report it. That is against forum rules, and PayPal terms of service.

To me, if someone can't play by the rules, they can't be trusted. I don't care how much I'm saving.

Tiger200350 did not try to pull one over on the person selling the radio. He is a local racer to me. He knows his stuff, and knows how to maintain it.

I would trust him with my stuff.

The seller sold him a faulty radio knowingly, or the radio was damaged in shipping.

Good reason to insure your items when you ship them. If this was the case that it was damaged in transit, solves the problem by filing a claim easily enough.
