Default HRCRACER123 *Neutral Transaction*

Bought a T4 from HRCRACER123, shipped quickly and communicated well.

Was not truthful in the description of the item. Stated *New* body in the post and made the point of paying $70 just for the paint job in a pm to me. Received the item and the body was clearly not new. It was a used with paint missing around the shock towers, around a hole on the hood of the body from a transponder, scratches and so on. I paid a little more for a truck thought had a new, custom painted body.

To make a long story short, I communicated my dissapointment about the deal and offered to mail the truck back or to refund back $35 which I felt was a fair deal. I guess in the future I will have to clarify what people mean by new. In my world, new means unused.

Did he agree to either of your suggested remedies (either of which sounded reasonable)?

If not, perhaps a post to his thread selling his T2

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=159999

asking him to clarify "mint" with a link to this thread may be appropriate.

Just a thought.

No, he read my final response about me giving my thoughts on a solution but never responded after that. I questioned that the truck was used less than a dozen times, but that's a moot point. Some people keep their items cleaner than others....What is clear that the post in the title and in the ad itself said new body, when it cleary was not. I expected a used T4 with a new body and that is not what I received.

I would have never posted something that I claimed was new and wasn't. At this point I suppose I will have to chalk it up and ask for further clarification in the future on the item listed as not everyone is 100% truthful.

As I had posted, sent the item quick and communicated with me, that was not a problem. Just doesn't see the point and wondering why I would be a little miffed about a body....

Jeff, It was a fair deal. I think I ran the body like twice. Thats why I said it was new. As far as the body being it bad condition. I would have to disagree. There were no cracks anywhere and as far as paint peeling I dont ever remember seeing that. I'm sorry if you feel slighted but again I feel like you got a real nice truck..

4/25/07- I REFUNDED HIM BACK HIS $35.00. EVERYTHING IS FINE NOW...

New is new, ALMOST new is almost new.

I'd be disappointed as well.

NEW
Yeah, new is new but if you just drive it around the track 20 times I might have to say NEW myself but explain "NEW, only used 1 day"
Maybe hcracer should have clarified NEW. Because sometimes NEW could mean NEW, this year. But I think the guy definitely should have explained a little bit more in his description. Were those pics taken before he ever drove it? Because I didnt see Transponder hole unless it is in the rear, or maybe I missed it.

I guess I could have been more clear on the "New" part. But again this guy is being VERY picky. The body was in Great shape!! The pics were taken recently. The truck was not driven after the pics were taken.

The fact is, picky or not, the body IS NOT new. Period. Yet your ad clearly states that it is. The buyer made two very reasonable sounding offers--what's your solution?

Exactly.

New equals new

Like new equals like new

like new NEVER equals new

You admit it wasn't new, yet you advertised it as new. Ever notice how nobody ever advertises a truly new item as "like new"? Of course you have. Why don't they do that? Because there's a difference, and everybody knows it. New is, ostensibly, better and sellers know buyers will generally pay more for new. You knew that too.

HRC did the right thing and took birdy up on one of his suggestions. That's great--glad for both of them.

How can you say that without ever seeing the body. Look at the body in the picture. It was taken right before I decided to sell it. And to be quite honest with you. I Really dont need the money. I guess you could say I sell things just for something to do. Also not to brag but I drive a S55 AMG Mercedes($120,000) and own my Allstate Agency Corporation. I still feel like he got a good deal on a great truck. End of story..

Three cheers for people putting their heads together to solve a mutual problem. Now both parties can be satisfied.
