Sorry Bro, wrong guy. I m not the one who's selling charger and I don't play drift. I m more into onroad cars (speed type) like nitro TC, 1/8th scale formula and now EP touring, though I started this hobby with r/c aeroplane and helis (that was like 10 yrs ago), I never tried boats before because I dont like the idea of having to swim/paddling/'fishing' your boat when the engine flame out somewhere in the middle of the lake. But now that you have mention its electric maybe I will, coz electric seldom fail without any reason. (well I might be wrong)

Ops sorry for my mistake, I tot it was u, but anyway this is my 3rd hobby, my 1st hobby is playing nitro onroad car but Im not good in tuning it, it always gives me a problem so I quit, then I go for EP heli, difficult to manover it fly and land, crash alot so $$$ alot on spare parts which is my 2nd hobby, then I go to my 3rd hobby which is EP FE boat, actually I want to go for nitro/gas boat, but from what I see, those nitro cost alot and those gas really making alot of noise, I don't knw how they can stand hearing it...sorry if those gas boat guy see this...and that why I don't go for that, I start to like FE boat when I see vids from youtube, they we pretty fast, couldn't imagine they can go that fast, my first boat is suprevee 27, I fried few esc using this boat as I don't know much about the setup, but now that I know, so there's no problem as I know where to ask. Im really addicted to it, as not much spare parts that I need to spent only need high mah battery if u want to have long runtime palying it. Only need to lube the drive cable shaft before start playing which is a must as to avoid damaged the cable and avoid water goes into the boat. Its less maintenance compare to those gas/nitro boat. So u've got any vids of your rc EP touring, I would like to see some.

Questions?? Kyosho TF-05 RTR Ezrun 9T brushles 3.5A ESC

Hi newbie question, i just bought Kyosho TF-05 RTR Ezrun 9T brushles 3.5A ESC. I am not sure what else should i look into or care before i damage the motor or anything of the car. I mean, al parts is stil stock that come with the package.
Currently use it for practising touring ...masih "L". Any upgrade recommendation is appreciated. I notice the brushless motor is quite hot after 15 min of play using niMh battery. Should i installed FAN on to the brushless motor?

what ype of shock or spring should i consider upgrade for practising at stadium parking lot?

Thanks.

rookie

You don't need to upgrade anything yet, the stock form is fine, to maintain you should look for the plastic diff cups wearing out, grease up the ball diff and its thrust bearing as well as the diff ring and pinion gears. Lastly check your shocks sometimes the stock plastic one leak a bit. In the future if you want to upgrade the chassis, 3 racing has that conversion which i think very well made.

As for your motor, do you know how hot it is actually? To be save do not get the motor beyond 85C, prolong operation beyond that temp will degrade the magnetism of the rotor. I suggest you calculate your Final Drive Ratio (FDR) for that motor, if you are using a proper FDR you wont overheat the motor. The suggested FDR for that motor should be in the motor instruction manual.

To calculate FDR: Diff ring T/ Diff pinion T x Spur gear T/ Pinion gear T
or check this site for proper explanation How to calculate FDR check question no 5. Or if you are lazy and dont want to calculate your self check this site Auto calculate FDR

Lastly I suggest you cool down your electronics after 6-7 mins of bashing coz those are not meant to be use continuous until your batt dump.

Happy bashing, hope you can upgrade from your lesen L to lesen 'R' (race) soon so you join the future race....

Dear Dameetz, thanks for the helpful info for newbie like me. I hope one day i can compete with our local racer soon and take off my lesen "L""to Lesen "R. Thanks for all you guys support on newbie RC player. By the way, i just got a bargain on Brushless 5.5T "second hand" with 6.0A ESc (EZRUN) and planning to put on to my Kyosho TF-5 RTR. I know it may not be the good choice of car for touring especially with Brushless motor, but it does let me learn how to walk before i learn how to fly. Majukan sukan untuk negara.

No problem bro...I suggest you try to get 8.0-8.7 FDR for that 5.5T. I have that one too...its an excellence system.

Dameetz, I am crossing my finger for that since i bought the thing for 2nd hand (budget issue :-)). Currently, my car is at GHL for checking of setup and leakage (yes, as you mentioned last time, it does have leak). Hoping c ping can finished it by this afternoon. If not, i guess i just have to play with my Virtual RC that i have ordered online and play at home for practising. cheers!

Or you can shift to GP. More heat, more speed

Tebala tu jeng...aku makai EZrun system 5.5T. FDR set to 12.18 (ko pakai 16T pinion) So far nda brapa panas dan nda pernah cut off. Masa baru balum lagi ada option pun tebala tu jeng.

Option parts yg ku pakai -( nda semesti nya dipakai lah, depend pemakaian dan skill sorang2, so aku nukar option with the intention untuk ia jadi tahan lah dikit sama performance upgrade)

-Front universal (aku makai Yeah Racing yg meant for DF03 arah c Mak)
-front shock tower (aku makai yg Kyosho Carbon composite, bukan Carbon Graphite arah cpeng ada tu)
-Aluminum rear shock tower holder (warna biru, arah cpeng)
- Steel diff cup (3racing arah c Mak)
- Aluminum body shocks (yg 3racing,ko tukar bottom 'O'ring nya satu, pakai Kyosho punya Oring yg transparent putih supaya nda leak sama tukar piston nya, aku makai Kyosho 2 holes, minyak 600 nda ku silap)
- Carbon Graphite chassis (3racing, yg original plastic tub chassis tampik dah oleh ku)
- Front aluminum hinge block. (yg original plastic sanang patah kalau salah landing)
- Most of all TAYAR, tayar stock nda bagus nada grip, the best so far yg ku cuba Proline Holeshot M3 compound (arah cpeng) TAPI capat habis pin nya...so masani ku pakai tayar Tamiya yg arah c Mak, tahan lah tapi less grip but better dari stock.

Kata cpeng ari sabtu ani banyak option parts datang tuk ZX5, cuba ko cek sana. BTW ko main dmana jeng? Lau ko mau main d trek Jastre atu sama kami siuk jeng.
