Thanks brad and to the Logan club for holding a great and smooth running event today. It will be great to see you at the beef week cup, you will not be disapointed.Just remember theres a big trophy for the best club of the day so the more drivers you bring the better chance you have of having your clubs name on it at the end of the weekend.

last years event was run in a clock wise direction.
As far as format, the quickest qualifing heat wether it be colckwise or anti clockwise, should we run the Finals in the diection of quickest qualifiing heat??????????

Personally, and IMO only, all qualifiers and finals should be run in teh same direction.

Heavy
These are just thoughts being thrown around myself i think it sould be run anti clockwise as last year was clockwise. Ther seem to a lot of ifs and buts about runing both directions.

I tend to agree with Heavy because it is a major meeting for your club and would save a lot of arguments from those that might feel ill done by.

You should use the format on club days and fun days etc

If running both directions you could use a points system and drop the worst heat from each direction say run 6 heats and then flip a coin for the final or let the top qualifier from each heat choose the direction for there final. Theres always going to be pluses and minuses either way. I was a bit skeptical at first but quite suprised at the end of the day. Made racing a bit more fun. Thats what where all here for isn't it.

Thumbs up UPDATE

UPDATE 6 weeks and counting
This years NRT (Beef Week Cup) will be run in the anti clockwise direction.
The Best Club Trophy (Beef Week Cup) will be run on finals only. Every final of each class (A,B,C etc) will have 3 finals.
Position 1=8points down to 8th=1 point
We will endevour to keep the finals as close in numbers as possible (540:21 drivers A,B,C Heats & Finals 7 drivers each)
Drivers running in 2 or more classes will have to nominate at the end of the qualifing period as to which class their points we come from for the BCT, this is in keeping the BCT as close as possible.
Remembering the Northern Rivers Titles are for the individual drivers(trophies) and the Best Club(that little chrome rim on wood) is separate to this although it is the same event.
See uall at that there track BRING IT ON !!!!!!

well a few of the guys had their mods out last night with some nice times considering they were only in setup mod.
I must say that the surface is perfoming very consistantly now the tyre wear has gone down and so have lap times.

i reckon we should just run like normal because if it gets stuffed up then everyone will get skitz and won't come next time cause "we can't run an event"also unless we praCTice it in a few club meets beforehand it will be pretty confusing so just run it like all the other times. im pretty sure its not a "new standard" in running events so why go to all the trouble when it will be just as good if we run like usual.another thing is that if you run 2 and 2 there will always be someone who will complain whereas if it is run normally thats one less thing to bitch about
