Any reason why they are only 8 car Finals and not 10?

Default Summer Cup rules

Why
"1 class per driver per day" rule?

Yes I'm confused by this. Whilst it doesn't bother me either way, I wouldn't mind some consistancy.

Did anyone notice that there were only 8-car A-Finals for the first round of the Interclub last year, then 10-car A-Finals for the other rounds

Default changes

Hi Guys,

1) We knew about the summer nats, but we were committed already to this date.
2) To bring in some consistancy we have decided to allow 10 cars in the finals, to bring us in line with the other clubs.
3) The one class per day per driver, was the same as we used for the winter cup. This is because we can better manage the time during the day, from past years there were big numbers at these events, and they were harder to manage, when people decided to run more then one class. It also protects some of the lower classes being swamped from drivers from classes above. ex. 19 turn would be mostly made up of mod and stock drivers, which would leave the 540 drivers to race against them selves.

regards

Brad

There are now two weeks to go to the Summer Cup.

After checking the mail today the entries have no started to roll in, don't forget the entries will close 19/1/2006. Please email e the form filled in if you require to pay on the day.

The form has been updated with the following changes:

a) trophies for 19 turn will be for 1,2,3 only and no additional trophies for over 45.
b) there will also be one trophy for the top junior overall and not each class
c) there is will be a new perpetual trophy, this has been sponsored by the Bolt King. This will be awarded by the committee for all categories of racing, these include good sportsmanship etc.

regards

Brad

Here's the rules taken from the entry form for Summer cup:

19 Turn: Motor to be “Spec” fixed timing type with tagged armature 19t motor. Open Tyres

As far as I know the rules for the interclub series will be similar. Ie spec 19t motors with locked timing, not open 19t. I don't what rules might apply to regular club racing at any of the clubs around SEQ that run 19t.

Cheers
Scott

Default 19 Turn, Summer Cup

The rules for 19 turn are as Scott said....

19 x 1 armature tagged, 24 deg fixed endbell.

And REX, YOU WILL NOT be allowed to run a variable timing 19t set at 24 deg.

have a great day Rex....

Rex being the shit hot driver that you are you shouldn't need to run a 19t with adjustable timing. If your not in a good position in the race, just hack the car in front, behind or beside you. Your good at that at, how do I know cause every race I'm in with you, you get me. This has happened multipule times. I don't think you should whinge about the rules it's the same for everybody. Driving the race cleanly should be your proirity and not the speed of your car.
