it was a good performance by the aussies, well done guys.
Harry Kewell worked hard all match and was vital, but who can
go past Schwartzer, some excellent saves by him.

That Uruguay coach was a bit .....in the head, why would you throw
a ball at a player. Tool.

First time I have laughed out loud at rctech for ages!

Well done the aussies, great saves schwartzer.

if only we could get rid of all the nancy-boy play-acting falling-down clutching my broken leg, soccer would be a sport worth watching.

(oops, did I say that out loud?)

That was great. We had a clubbie at Boronia and a mate of mine brought a TV down with him for the soccer. The clubbie finished and they had just finished extra time. Was great to watch with a bunch of RCers!

Go Australia! Schwartzer = Hero. Viduka = LUCKY!!! He'd have been exported if we lost cause of that pathetic kick.

Kewell played great all game. Set up many opportunities for scoring, but a shame that we couldn't convert in regular time. Not to worry, we are off to the World Cup!! WOOO HOOO!!

finally we can cheer for our own team!

australia played really well, but lacked the killer instinct goal making/scoreing abilities.

if they can practice this side of things they should be ok

It was amazing-I was at federation Squeare with 10,000 others and the whole CBD got reduced to a gridlock of cars honking horns waving flags etc.

Great performance but jeez this game gives me grey hairs! Especially after years of watching England lose penalty shoot outs!

For someone who can't stand watching the sport all I can say that was pretty awesome. I was walking out of work around 2030, and I was near the train station near my office, there was no one around and I heard this almighty roar, don't know where from (the nearest pub was about 200 metres away) but It was when Australia scored that goal.

I say justice has been served to Uruguay, all their dirty tactics, treatment of our players when in Montevideo etc. Divine right to play in the world cup? Get a dog up ya!

Last night was the first time I have watched the Soccoroos since they were beaten 4 years ago, I was gutted. Last night they were awsome talk about grey hairs though. The only dissapointing thing is they didnt interview Schwarzer after the game, what a legend. I got tingles listening to the whole stadium sing the National Anthem at the beginning, would have been magic to be there live.

Well done to the team, now I am sure there will be more people interested in soccer, other then the AFL, NFL etc!!!!!!

For motor sport, I hope there isn't just V8 being the popular one too :-)

Follow the beautiful game or not, lets call it by its correct name. FOOTBALL!

As to " if only we could get rid of all the nancy-boy play-acting falling-down clutching my broken leg, soccer would be a sport worth watching.", I would like to think that we have matured enough as a Nation, as as a Nation of Sports Lovers to finally stop using this tired old argument. This is the same argument that says that the rest of the world has got it wrong in regard to Football, and that we have got it right with AFL and ARL. time to grow up..

Congratulations to the whole team and the Master HOOOOOOOS Hiddink.
