Twilight Race Day! 11/03/2017
Saturday 11th march
Then every second and fourth WEEKEND of the month
This will be a twilight race day!
Open to all electric classes. We will fit you in somewhere!
Rookies and juniors will have their own classes. Race what you have.
You will be able to get some practice from around 3pm then there will be a drivers briefing at 4:30 and the track will be closed until racing starts at 5pm so it will be important to get to the track earlier so we can get all drivers registered before the briefing starts. We will be going over a few things to help streamline our race days.
Cost is $15 for the first class entered. $5 for second. If your up to driving a third, its free. $10 for club members and affiliated club members
Become a club member for $30 (family $50) and pay no race fees for that day
Drinks available!
Bring along yourself, a car, your battery charger, table, chair, an extension lead would be helpful, and enclosed shoes.
Shade is scarce so if you have a fold out pergola bring it along with a hat and sun screen.
Want to get involved? Make your self known and you will have my vote for president! Better still, assembly of the jigsaw that becomes the track will start around 12ish if you want to lend a hand.

Race Reults
Wow! What a day.
Good to be back racing again but, a very trying day....
All started arriving at the track to find some lovely drawings all in chalk on the surface....can't get upset about these thing as we do share the facility. Thankfully, young Luke had turned up early along with Jason and Mat. We managed to wash most of it off before anyone else arrived and it didn't seem to affect grip much in the affected areas much. Thankfully. It did take some time though and put us behind the eight ball a bit.
Apart from that the printer didn't want to work as a cockroach had taken up residence in it, the amplifier has pretty much died, which doesn't help. Hopefully Ken has something to get us out of trouble and the computer caught me unawares shuffling transponders for the Mains. I'm pretty sure what the issue is as a box needed unchecking as it was allocating transponders....live and learn...
Speaking of the computer, it would be really helpful if we had a few guys willing to learn the system....Have a look at these training vids
https://www.livetimerc.com/training/
Now for the big stick....
What on Earth is going on in Sportsman? The last race resembled a smash up derby more than anything else. Driver etiquette has gone completely out the window! All this carving each other up only results in raised tempers and broken cars. There were even reports of a driver taking advantage of the car friendly curbs to take shortcuts....We are here for a bit of fun and if that means handing out penalties (and we now know how to take laps off) then so be it.
We want nothing more than people to enjoy themselves with some good clean racing....This issue will be raised again at the next drivers briefing..
Thanks to those that hung around to pack everything up. It makes a huge difference and am extremely grateful.

Race Results...
What a fantastic day we had yesterday. Thanks to everyone that showed up with their race face on....Particularly the blokes that made the pilgrimage from Sydney. Invaluable experience for Understeer regulars to mix it with you guys.
We hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
Thanks to the same couple of faces that show up nice and early to help assemble the track and drivers stand. You know who you are and the help is appreciated as the days wouldn't happen without you....and....the blokes from Sydney who turned up early and lent a hand. Must of felt like you had only packed a track away hours before at Castle Hill...
Cheers
