Default Electric Onroad Racing @ Hobby Habit

Hi All,

Electric Onroad racing will be starting up again very soon at Hobby Habit. The Track is currently under maintenance, with all the boards being removed and concrete curbing being put down. This will provide much better racing and a lot less car breakages. The first layout will be decided once the track is finished and will be the layout for the 2014 South Australian State titles, which we highly encourage everyone to enter.

Racing will be Friday nights, every 2 weeks. Depending on when the track is finished, we will let everyone know when this will start and all other details.

Some pictures of the new work can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Adela...24599594283245 A big thanks to everyone who has helped out so far!

Let's get excited about Electric Onroad racing starting again in Adelaide, It's been far too long!

Any questions please ask

Antoni

Nice! I haven't raced my 1/10th at HH for over 5 years as I always got tired of breaking it on the wooden walls. :P
Looks excellent.

A few people have been asking what classes will be run, at this stage they will be:

Modified
13.5 Blinky
21.5 Blinky
Formula 1
Mini

All classes will be run, subject to numbers. Chassis is OPEN for all touring car classes and formula 1, Tamiya mini's in the mini class.

Based on running Mod 12th there at the SA Titles last year, I reckon it would be an awesome track for 10.5 blinky 1S (Eurostock) 12th scale as well. That class is being run at the AOC at AA – which seems a very similar style of track – so you could get some good practice at HH for the AOC.

12th scale always was a blast at HH, so if there is enough interest I'm sure we can add that to the list.

With racing starting up again real soon will it be run by the A.E.R.C.C.C or HH just wondering if i need to join the AERCCC this isn't a problem if i need to or is it advisable if we are going to run at the state titles in the sanctioned classes.

If there is interest for sure it's an option. From what I know there are not many 1/12th drivers left in SA.

The racing will be run by a few of the AERCCC guys, but everyone will need to join the HH membership. It will give you discounted racing (onroad & offroad) and give you half price practice fee's. They will be joining AARCMCC so you can run at interstate events.

This I am not sure of yet, we want to run all the designated AARCMCC classes, and adding Sakura means there will be 4 Touring car classes.

What we are looking to do is have good numbers in all 3 classes rather than have low numbers across 4 different classes. Possibly until the state titles it can be run, but eventually it should be phased out as the sakura is fine to race in any of the other classes.
