Hi all,

So the question is 3500g as per USA or 3450g to allow for the lighter foam tyres

3400g is probably a safer limit.

Hi all we have been requested to finalise the weight limit in my opinion we should have 3450g please check your cars and advise this Friday night should be the cut off ... 3400 is a little too light.

What weight does each car come in at out of the box?
I don't have digital scales only a set of kitchen scales and it showed mine just under 3400g. That was with no fuel and tyres that have raced 1 Tuesday night.

It doesn't if you're driving it.

Hi,

The rules should cover the RTR Car, what weight is it and what type of engine comes with the kit..

Hi Guys,
We are attempting to finalise the GT Rules the only out standing point is the minimum weight, would you be able to weigh your cars and post.

This will assist with working out a average minimum weight, thanks

Rob

Thanks cmy55s... that would be the best timing I've ever scene

That's what my argument in this matter is.

Your new to this class, thinking/wanting to purchase a GT to race which is fantastic news.

Now what can turn prospective racer to this class off.....what's the point of buying into this class if I can't pass the technical weight limit at events with the chassis I just purchased.

Their question.... can I purchase a product that allows my chassis to pass the technical weight inspection at events that I just purchased.

People please remember when checking your minimum weight, don't do it with new or partly worn foams on the car or your leaving your self open if the weight limit decided isn't taking into account your lowest limit with worn out foams.

Cheers Daz

I will weigh my beast as soon as I can and let you know what I weigh. Before the state titles with fairly new tyres my beast was 3580g. But I need to weigh it with nearly no foam left. I have another question for the group. What times for finals do we want? I like the 7 min qualifying times, but what do you think about a 20 min or 40 min final? Just to keep it close to the 7min run time. In the states than ran 7min qualifiers with 60min final at Homestead in January. The ACT title organisers want to know what we want to run. I am happy to run 20min, due to last year we had a bad fog and I still want to have a final.
