What a disapointing weekend that was.
There were very poor numbers - from memory, 3 Pro nitro, 3 pull starts, 6 1/12th, 3 F1. 14 Stock Tourer and no (or maybe 3) mod tourers.
There wouldn't be a club meeting at any club in Brisbane at the moment that would have worse attendance than that and in addition there wouldn't be a club meeting as poorly run either.
The only positives are that it is an excellent track - perfect for 1/10th, well equiped and well maintained and the canteen ladies did an excellent job.
The scrutineering was non existant or not enforced, there were no warnings or action taken for blatant hacking of teh worst kind I have seen in 20 years of racing.
There was a time when a trip to any event in NSW was something to look forward to but after the last two State Titles (Offroad and Onroad ) I think it will be a long time before I will be recommending anyone to bother.

for what i have been told dsi was not that popular either??? where was everyone gas nats???
from my info:
f1 - berescoe
1/12 - jr zarb (i think)
gas - local unknown to me at the moment
stock - harrison hawke, adrian beggs, russell mallise
here is a pic of why perhaps many left!
believe it or not but it cleared and racing was fine (i didnt have any trouble with hacking - either recieving or giving )
i do think that scrutineering was a bit ordanary for a 'special' event

Harsh words....
The Tamworth club is an excelent club and for a club based in a country town have done an excellent job over the years.
The event was a ROORDA event, ROORDA failed to promote the event and support the Tamworth club in a sufficient manner. ROORDA has a lack of volunteers to make it work.
What is needed is for a group of racers to get behind AARCMCC (or ROORDA?) and get some organisation back in to "electric" on road racing. The AARCMCC Electric On Road Nationals are on next month, this will be a big, well orgainised event which will prove racing is alive and well, we just need some people committed to help clubs organise, promote and run big events.
If we don't like AARCMCC we could always create something new! , it's not hard!

You don't need alot of people to do this. maybe promotion is the name of the game as well as the host club supporting the event with proper race directing scrutineering not just a canteen.I have to admit that I didn't see much support from ROORDA on this event. No entry forms no support what ever. Was there a ROORDA rep at this event?
BK what did to that idea we had.
