Xray T2 007 for VTA
Hi guys, i have a T2 007 that i am going to use for VTA. i have the Speed Passion LPF 2.0 speed and Speed Passion V3 21.5 motor. Just wondering anyone has had much luck with them as i have no idea how to gear it for VTA. I have a 75 Spur with a 35 Pinion in it now but seems off the pace. any help would be appreciated. thanks

i run a T2'008 and it is more than awesome... i will need to go and check my gearing.. but 35t pinion sound right..
oh, and we run 17.5T for VTA.. so you will need higher pinion again
I tuned the gears with temp of the motor... i was pushing mine to 110 - 120 DegC
not good for the motor.. but we had to to keep up

What chassis are you running cm55s? My FDR is 1.7 so i not sure if that will make a huge difference.

cmy55s, are you running 21.5 or 17.5?

Chassis will be fine with it, ESC, anything sensored really, V3 is way overkill! I'd set a FDR around 3.8 - 3.9 on a 21.5 with endbell timing around 30-35 degrees and just see how you are pacewise from there. I run 34/69 on my S411 but that's on a huge track with a 17.5 motor, I am still finding the sweet spot gearing wise and am dropping about 1.5 seconds a lap to the fast guys.
