An education in 540 silver can motors?
Hi guys.
Thought this might make a good thread for those who have use for the humble silver can 540.
I know there are those of you who know plenty about these motors and wanted to learn about what goes into making a good one?
I currently have a small collection of these motorss and after a good clean and lube of the bushes I have found they tend to spin up anywhere between 15 through to 18,000 revs. My old skool Johnsons seem to pull the higher numbers on my dyno.
