Default 1/28 scale Sydney racing

I haven't seen a Sydney based thread, so I will start it off.

Please post (pics, tips, questions or anything related) if you own any Kyosho Mini-z, Iwaver, Firelap or any 1/28 scale R/C model and is located in Sydney.

I will start first

I currently own:

1 x AWD DWS
1 x MR03
1 x Ferrari F1
1 x Hummer Overland

Racing with a few friends on a home made carpet tile track running Ilaps transponders.

Thumbs up

Man that track looks cool! I've got a couple of old Kyosho Mini-Z's, MR01 I think. Just have to find some batteries and the 27mhz transmitters for them and hopefully they will work! Can I race with you guys? -don't have a transponder for them. What do you recommend in terms of batteries, chargers etc for the race night?
Cheers,
Ed

everyone's welcome, so see you on Friday.

as for batteries. Locally you can't go pass Powertech 900mah from Jaycar. a 4 pack AAA sells for $11.00 and atleast 3 sets and your sorted. Also get the 4 X AAA charge rack from Jaycar as well for a few bucks to make it easier to charge 4 x AAA's at a time. Any charger that charges NIMH will do the trick. I'll wire up an cable to take power direct from the battery tabs so the transponder will work for non ICS cars

Yes Darko's Foam tires are really good... I have many sets for my track at home, I dont have any rubbers because the car i bought off ebay had only drift wheels!

What compound rubber did you find works the best on that surface?

I will come play on friday night... mini-z fits in a back pack and i only have Motorbike at the moment!

Dan... can you please organise me a transponder?

Shane
