metho is fine on plastic, same with degreaser.
metho will dry out the plastic though if you use it at a prolonged exposure.
if you are doing a complete tear down of the car clean the pastics with water and detergent.
shellite is a little too strong for plastic and the fumes are classified as organic toxics ...or something like that. basically it is bad for you if you breath it. same with ketones (stuff in pactra paints) brake cleaner and a whole host of other stuff. carbon filter equiped masks don't stop the toxic stuff either.
just stick to metho, does more than a good job.

I tried to use metho it was useless I might try Degeaser as I have to get rid of Grease that I put on my car which was really a bad idea

disconect the battery. (1/10th nitro)
Cover it in Metho.... like fully cover it. like your hosing down your car.
I use one of them spray botle thingys the hair dressers use. so i can blast all the dirt off with the presure of the triger.
then sit there with the air compessor and blow it all dry and clean.
comes up better than new.
Cheers Deano
