I always wondered why when I ran 540 that there were people running it behind a Novak GTX. Unless you usually run Mod and want the option to go blinky to trophy hunt in sanctioned events to boost a fledging ego or something, why do you need a big $ esc to run blinky? I run VTA, my esc was $55 new off fleabay and it's legal

Does anyone know if there is a reason that AARCMCC use the ROAR and BRCA list for Motors and batteries but use their own separate list for ESC's ?

Power.....

Isn't that the underlying motivation for a lot of these rules?

It would be good if all clubs enforce Blinky Speedies at club racing and major events!

Last year Pebbles and myself ran 21.5t tourers in victoria and also stock in offroad so we use an esc that can do both jobs.
no use buying a $55 esc if it cant run boost for the onroad

AARCMCC have updated their ESC list now to reflect the latest ROAR list so Orion R10 and Tekins with updated software will be ok to use.
