Default Gpx 4 Help

Hi there;

Iam a newbie to this forum, and need some help.

I have just upgraded to the HoBao GPX4 and ther is no way I can keep the back end from sliding out. I d/l setup sheets from ofna etc. I have tried Ellegi's, Arrows rubber, but under deceleration into corners the back snaps out.

Anyone out there that could please help.

Regards

Paul

Paul, being such a new car i dotn know if anyone will know much about specific setup, but someone at a track would probably be able to spot a problem pretty easily.

Where are you located?

Thanks for the reply.
I am located in Wollongong NSW. The best thing about them is the centax clutch. Like a real stall convertor you can spool these through a corner, and then slingshot out, except It wont hold through the corner. Ahhhhhhhh

could be a mix of a ill set clutch, and a stiff oil at the rear diff.

also could be something binding, it is hard so say without looking at the car. take it to the track and get someone to help you. eliminate the basics first:

-disconect shocks
-disconnect swaybars
-are your sway bars set to tight at the rear? for the front bars if it is a blade type bar, disconnect shocks, and set sway bar move arms up and down several times, tighten the grub screw that holds the bars in position with the arms pushe all the way up.

to set the rear bar tighten the screws that hold it so that the bar moves freely without binding. this is for a wire bar type sway bar
-move arms up and dow, do they move free?
-is your droop set properly?
-are you using the right tyres at the rear?
-is the car tweeked? ie do the rear tires touch the floor at the same time, do the fronts touch the floor at the same time?

Thanks VenomWorldOrder.

There so many variables with this car to set up. Tried a softer compound tyre, found some more grip.
Going to look at the shocks setup again.

usually when these weird "reactions" happen it is due to something binding. you have to really have a totally out of the ballpark setup to have it do what you described

It was this way straight out of the box (RTR). Tried different setups...
"Not Happy"

Seriously thinking of cremating the car
A nitro flame is such a pretty colour when its burns in the open.

before doing that let a experienced racer look at at. it's essentially a mtx3 with a few front end revisions isn't it? should be a good car.
