shortage worldwide of FK kits DUE TO NEW CAR COMMING OUT?
as some of you may be aware. there is currently noxray FUK t1 touring kits available anywhere.
is this due to the new facotry being built? or is it due to a new car comming out? i found this on the xray website forums
"Stay cool guys, I've heard some rumors which tells me that the development of a new T1 OR a brand new car is still in the focus of the team. Can't wait to see the result (however I have a big stock of suspension spare parts for my FK so I wouldn't prefer changing the suspension only the shocks please I hate them and off course the CG must be lowered.
I like the diffs and I think the Xray is one of the best car regarding to assembling/disassembling. "
IS THIS TRUE?

I heard that they are having a shortage of the hudy spring steel and that all of their products are on hold.
Plus they are also in the process of stocking up the new Xray USA site, so i would assume a lot of their focus is onthat.
I would be surprised if they are limiting supply of current kits, due to the development of a newer one. The demand is still there they would be shoorting themselves in the foot.

Silly
Do you really think there going to bring out a new car without trialing it at a big race meet like the last 3. (Worlds , Cleveland , Novak Race??
No there not the car is fairly new its self. Look at Losi for example there trialing thois car at every race possible before sending it in to production.
When you hear rumours about a new car at a race but dont start thonking your own.
It makes you look m sill again.

Re: Re: Silly
also a quick question for all xray racers what do you think is better the BMI optional chassis and top deck or the equivelant xray chassis and top decks? also what is the thickness of the bmi chassis? and what would the equivelant xray version of these be?

what i want to know is if the optional chassis is actually needed at all? i got the PRP kit for the pro4 but on the surfaces that we have available in sydney do i need it?
i know the initial steering and response would be better but with places like windsor and EC being pritty slippery do i need it?
i wouldn't mind having it as a tuning option. the BMI optional tunnable top deck looks like a better part. you can change the characteristics of it by movving the disk. but there is no price on the site. i'm leaning towards the BMI because it has pre sanded and angled batt slots. is the colour of the BMI that ugly yellow colour on the site or a normal carbon fibre colour?
i read on the xray forum site that the users think it has a high roll centre depending on hwat pinion and spur you use. is this true?

there is always talk of new cars on the xray forum. but the replys which comes from some of the head guys at xray HQ, sugest the there is no need for a new car. i would agree with this, although i think there are a couple of parts which xray can improve on. like re-work the center of gravity and the shock definatly have to be revised., and i think they should also re-work their bearings. to create a much smoother drive train.
don't worry about xray not having enough stock. i will probably guess that the delay is because of their new factory. (man that factory looks nice).
