Hello all,

I have been out of RC for about 4 years and I have not raced with brush-less motors. So my question is what gearing are people running in the following Vortex Classes;

Mod: ( I understand there are many motors in this range i just want an idea)
13.5
21.5

I'm looking at moving up into the above classes and just want an idea what people are running?

I wouldnt really follow that chart for tc. Most ppl I know are gearing 7-8.5 for 13.5t, no point in racing in that class unless you use boost as you will be blown away 21.5 really is wide open, I have seen people gear from 3-6. Yes that is from 3.0 that is not a typo. Gearing is dependent on so many things from circuit type to motor used, esc used etc. I would suggest gearing it so that you have decent rip in the twisty bits with out any boost and then adding boost from there.
