Likewise mate, it was a great weekend away, just a shame that Noel couldn't stay there with us for the rest of the weekend.
We thoroughly enjoyed "Uncle Trev's story time" soon after the bottle (very large bottle) of port was passed around a few times.

Hi Dan,

No, sorry. The area we hire in the Showground is booked that day so we can't use it.

Default 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑯𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝑹𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒎𝒆

Trevor, Linda and Caitlin Johnstone announced their retirement last night effective from the end of 2016 in running Castle Hill Raceway. The Castle Hill Raceway club committee plus Trevor and Linda have been in discussions on the transition for the hand over of the running of CHR to the members for some time. Trevor will assist in the transition period with the training of members for race control into the first few months of 2017 and hopefully will have more time to participate in racing. The club members will manage the running of the canteen.

The committee and club members would like to thank Trevor and Linda for over 20 years of commitment to Castle Hill and RC. Their family has given a huge amount of time to growing our hobby in both on road and in earlier days off road. The contribution they have made to the hobby via Castle Hill Raceway, Tamiya Cup, Challenge Cup, running Race Control at numerous National, State and major events not to mention the innovation through live race feeds and race results via wifi are second to none. Hopefully we will still see them around RC tracks in the future and would like to extend our best wishes for their retirement.

Congratulations to Trevor, Linda & Caitlin on your outstanding achievements over the last 20+ years in the world of RC. Enjoy your "retirement" and be comforted in the knowledge that what you have done, will surely never be surpassed.

Trevor, I will always remember you as being a person who was fair to all & held your dignity & integrity when others around you where laying the crap on you heavily.

We started at the "Hill" mid 2007 and have enjoyed the experience, it was a pleasure to race there & Club Challenge was the shining light in RC for many years.
Your announcement comes as bad news, I believe, for a hobby which appears to be on life support at the moment, but as they say, "all good things come to an end"..... sadly.

As 2016 comes to an end Castle Hill will be running their final meeting of the years this Friday. Normally we an enduro but after talk to the committee we will not be doing that this year. We will running a different format than we normally run just to spice it up.

Depending on number we will be running single lap qualifier and a single final. We have done this before but we will be running either 3-4 rounds 3-4 minutes each with an 8 minute final 2016.

Come down and enjoy the nights racing and see 2016 end with 2017 starting an new era for Castle Hill Raceway
