Did you do break-in for the R3 to smooth out the drive train?
I am doing it right now, just connect 2 1.5V D cell in series to a 540 motor. It seems that the car are pretty noisy
Anyway, give us some feedback after you have test ur R3 after the race meet.
cheers

How many R3's?
Hi all,
so far, i've gathered that Chappi and Lowner both have an R3, plus me and that makes 3 it really isnt a popular car is it?
I've run mine a couple of times and i'm still trying to sort out a lazy steering problem but apart from that, i like it very much already
What springs are you guys using for your cuda?

Mine doesn't so I do have it on my R3.
I guess with out the cover, it will be much more easy to clean or put grease on the gears

no diff covers for kit but you can buy them as an option part. i was told not to fit them onto the car as it makes them super noisy and trying to get to the bevels with the covers on, require the removal of top deck and generally a pain so most people leave them off.
lazy steering is that this car doesnt like to turn-in to the corner directly proportional to the steering input. its just slow to react to direction changes. it's not that it's understeering, it just doesnt like changing direction gotta play around with the settings of the car to make it more aggressive
I highly reccomend changing the white delrin steering post guide to bearings (740 size and you'll need 4) as i've already had a seized rack even though i've got the rack cover installed with the kit delrin. ever since changing to bearings, i never had anymore problems (fingers crossed )
