Hey VWO.
If i was in your situation i would consider either the losi xxx BK1/2 or the RC10B4.
I am biased towards the AE product but they are both very good reliable cars. I have just started running 4wd again aswell as 2wd and i must say 4wd is twice the work.
Go the B4!!

I think there is a bk2 on ebay now. If you want a b4 try tower hobbies.
What ever you choose they are all good cars.
But the b4 is better

I think there will be a 540 buggy class. But I think that is quicker than stock truck.
Many of you guys coming down for the last round of the club challange.

I would suggest the 2WD RC10B4 made by Team Associated www.rc10.com, they make a really awesome "Ready to Run" kit that is great for entry level bashing up to A-main racing. It comes with a all the electrics, the only thing it the speedy has a 17turn limit. If you are after an awesome race car the RC10B4 is the way to go. If you already have electrics you can get the "Team Kit" or the "Factory Team Kit"
If you are interested in these kits i would give Monaro Models in Canberra a call.
Having said all of this it's ultimately up to you, if the hobby shops around you only support one brand it might be the right thing to go with that brand because of avalability, but its always easy to get parts. Remember it's always good to support the hobby shops

Most of what everyone has said is right, the Losi BK1/BK2 or Associated B4 are the go. I'd guess you probably have electrics already so go the factory team B4 or BK2. As I mentioned earlier Scott Pettet (ScottyP) has a good BK1 for sale at the moment.
Steer (sic) clear of anything other than Losi or Associated in 2wd. There are a couple of good 4wd's out there as well (Yokomo, BJ4x4) but they are usually more expensive.
Monaro Models do have the Associated but I think you know what the price will be like compared to OS. Sorry guys, not a big LHS supporter...
Go Tower hobbies for the Associated new or Hobbymania for the Losi new. Or just come down to the track at one of our CH meets, some of the guys usually have cars for sale or at least you could have a look at what you're in for.
EDIT: Ooops getting a little off topic here aren't we...

Not really, we are trying to get more runners for the titles.
The more the merrier I say. That's why I prefer two girlfriends.
At the same time.

The yokomo Mr4BC is about 600 on the shelf, at shepp toyworld. Best value for money, and this thing really hooks up.
for 2wd, can you really go past the B4
why did I enter into this stupid debate? who knows
what tires are hooking up and molky could you post us some good places to stay? also when will we see entry forms?
