i don't know about dirt deflextion...
but to increase supplty of the belts, try soaking them in wd40 for 2 or 3 days.
also i have used a product called "CRC dry glide" it specifically states "with teflon" it dries in around1/2hr. this is good for pullies and gears on a electric or nitro.

I have been using Gensil mould release. This is a silicon spray that is used to help rubber products release from the mould easier.
I have been spraying it on the belts and pulleys and they definately seem to come back cleaner, my theory being that (on a clean track) the crap you get in your pulleys is mainly tyre rubbber.
Not sure where you'd get it, a mate gave me my can. But i'd guess from industrial supply stores, maybe like Blackwoods etc.
Let me know if anyone knows where to get it my can is getting low
Thomas' CRC stuff sounds similar.
