I believe it just means that the motor list you have is the brushless motor list. See my reply in the AARCMCC thread. Though it could mean they've just been overlooked. The proposal we voted on, I'm pretty sure, still had brushed motors being legal.

This would actually be a really cheap way for someone who happens to have an ESC that isn't on the approved list to race the class. So long as it will work with a brushed motor, just bolt the one in you (or your mate) have sitting at the bottom of your pit bag or toolbox and bingo, you're legal.

offroad stock wont die, it might be quiet for the first few months, but I'm sure most guys who are racing stock now will just buy an approved esc. Now instead of an esc war, your going to see a motor and lipo war.....all over again. Since the introduction of timing/turbo, the motor and lipos...to a point were not as important in getting speed. New rules, brings in more expense.....who wins......haha LHS.

where aarcmcc IMO screwed up was not consider 21.5 open speedy, like vortec.
Well the real smart people didnt run out and waste their money on the lastest esc knowing this sillyness couldnt last and now dont have a problem!

Either because Hobby Wing haven't submitted them yet or they were not approved - one or the other - I'm pretty sure they will be at some stage

I'll still be racing Stock in 2011 and the Mamba with boost or not is still one the best bang for your buck speedies around, so I haven't wasted my money, but what to do with the LRP Sphere TC??? Or the Venom V2, god knows why that isn't on there, it is a very basic, but reliable in my experience, speedie - come on Venom get it approved.
