Default Mod or Stock?

Are you talking about mod or stock? (Novaks SS4300 for stock)

They are too completely separate animals. You cant compare them so they should no be raced together. in fact until ifmar has rules for them, they shouldnt be catered for at all for what, 3 or 4 people..

You know your right Losi Kid. How can you compare the two. Brushed vs. B/L no quicker or slower but then again either is Rubber vs. Foam but we have open tyre choice. So really we should go full IFMAR spec for all of us wanting to go the worlds one day as people have stated. We should ban B/L and also race on Rubber tyres like they do o/s. We can’t compare foam to rubber performance just like brushed to B/L motors.

Also how can you compare a Epic motor to a Reedy, so we should only have one motor manufacture. Now what about the guy that has a TL01, how can you compare them to the ever fast X-Ray or Losi, so we should ban one of them as well. Guys with dyno’s and guys without, different brushes vs. stock brushes, matched batteries vs. unmatched batteries, pro motors vs. stock motors, quicker servo’s vs. stock servo’s, transmitters with ABS and those without, transmitters with expo and those without, variable drive frequency ECS and those without. Where do we stop.

But at the end of the day what will happen. The quick guys will still be quick, whingers will still whinge, sponsored racers will still say their product is best, shops will have biased commercial interest and racers will still shop around looking for cheaper prices.

But still people will find a way to satisfy their pockets, what are we left with, no freedom to choice, one car, one motor, one battery one body same colour and one same transmitter. Sounds like fun, lets do it.

In my "opinion" the definition of MOD class is OPEN.

To me that means, essentially the fastest car on 7.2V and 1/10 scale

who's having a whinge now.... let the rule be voted on numbers will carry the day, if your position is right then the change will be knocked on the head... otherwise join the ranks of the vocal minorities - otherwise known as whingers... aren't they??

the way i read the proposal sent to clubs a BL class will continue, so whats the problem with splitting them - people will still have the choice you desperately long for

Same "open/mod" class... only proviso that the BL motors should be limited to same physical size as a 540.

Otherwise one forsees things getting really out of hand.
