currently working on track layout....key goal is to be able to run onroad and offroad cars in same race meeting (not same race) without having to add or remove portable jumps. here's what we have so far....thoughts and suggestions welcome!

i feel like I'm talking to myself in here!

Launceston R/C Raceway is now up and running. Three race meetings in, the venue is coming along nicely and numbers improving each time.

Short course truck is our biggest class, with 10th buggy/stadium, 8th buggy/truggy and mini/tourers all running each week (all EP).

the layout we're currently running is more like this:

Offroad classes use the section with stutter bumps, small jump, table top. onroad classes skip this bit, going around the outside instead. it sounds strange, but works well.

Contact...you need a 2500kv motor on 4s lipo in your F1. Anything else and you're just not trying

flanno, indoor, thursday nights, EP only. good fun.

Perhaps we need an updated track layout in here as well, that way we can track the genesis of our track

I've been thinking about selling off my Tourer, and maybe my Mamba Max and getting a 4x4 1:10 buggy, or a DF03RA rally car.

can't really decide. I think I'll probably go the buggy route, but then there is a pile of choice as to what to get. I'm not looking at a racing machine, mostly for bashing, with the occasional race thrown in. So stick packs, not saddle packs.

Looking at these options. anybody got any thoughts?? or other options??

Kyosho DBX VE
Kyosho Lazer ZX-5
HPI Cyber 10B
LRP Blast BX

Be nice to get some more 10th 4wds out to LRC! I myself will be bringing the B44 back to teach those bandit boys a lesson soon enough!!
Out of those choices Richard i would definitely go the Lazer. But there are others you could consider. A secondhand Losi xxxG+ or JConcepts BJ4 in stick version would be fine choices, i guess parts may be an issue. But the BJ4 does use a lot of B44 parts... Its a pity the Hot Bodies Cyclone D4 uses saddle packs, as i bet you would love that, being a HPI NUT!! Good luck and hope to see a new 4wd at the track next year!
