Hey guys,

great to see the interest in the event. Im really looking forward to running my old Cougar!

FYI, we have a normal club day at Keilor the day before the enduro, so for those travelling, you can get a bit of extra time practice in under race conditions. Our plan is to have separate heats for vintage cars (assuming there is enough interest ) as well as the normal 'modern' heats. During summer, we run on Saturday afternoons, so there will be time for practice etc Saturday morning as well. Its a good social atmosphere with competitive racing.

Ive been reading the comments on the vintage discussion forum re: modern tracks. You guys will be pleased to hear that Keilor doesnt really have any 'motocross' jumps - but there are a lot of humps and elevation changes, a technical layout and a fairly high grip surface, so it should be a good challenge without being a car breaker. There is a video of 4w mod from last weekends Coleman Cup on youtube here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfCF6I4lcZI

and a bunch of photos on www.rccar.com.au and www.keilorrc.com.au including the latest layout.

If you are looking for modern tyres to use, I suggest the JConcepts Bar Codes / Losi BK Bar style tyres (in white or orange for JC tyres, red for Losis). These will provide the best grip and also wear well.

The Keilor track is very close to Melbourne airport (<5km from the terminal) making it easy for interstate travellers to fly in and take a taxi.

If you need any more info about the Keilor track, dont hesitate to ask here, PM me or email me at ray@rccar.com.au. Ant is the person to go to re: the event itself.

Look forward to seeing you guys down here in November!

L8r

Ray
