Actually guys I am after a marui hunter. It was my first car back in the 80's and they werent real popular back then. They are seldom for sale and I always seemed to get sniped on ebay auctions.

Default Hunter...

There's at least one Hunter on the 'Bay at the moment, but for what I consider to be a ludicrous price..... I know a guy who had access to a cheap NIB, but not sure what happened to that... must ask him....

Nice original car that. Good luck - I have a soft spot for the Marui line up.

Cheers

Mightn't look so good after a four hour run

Just in case no one has read the fine print........ NO BREAK THIS YEAR! it's a real enduro. Four hours on the trot.

We are also reserving the right to change the team structure if interest levels exceed racing capacity, but we'll cross that bridge if and when we come to it. I'm also told that we will have a Rough Rider ReRe going for glory. I think as a matter of common sense the Roughy(ies) can go in with the hardtails as a class, although that will be an executive desicion on my part, and not something that extends to a car like Lookie's new hunter (as long as no one bids????).

This is gonna be good

LOL - yeah - four hours with a Hunter hmmmmmmmm, dont think the plastics would be up to it - but would be awesome to be proven wrong.

GREAT news on makingit a "proper" enduro.

Agree with the Rough Rider in Hardtail - makes sense - as there isnt a car with a harder tail than a RR !!

Fanboi - - thanks mate - just wish I could update the site - has been over four years since I updated it..really must get a new one up and running - so many cars to add.

Cheers

Darryn

Default ITS ON AGAIN!!!

So another year and another challenging facility to tame in 4 hours. I like that you have stuck to the 4 hours and not segments of four hours, well done Ant.

Im sure everyone has a favourite vintage buggy they'd love to run at this event but has anybody for a second considered what four hours of solid off road racing will do to the likes of a Marui Hunter, Grass Hopper etc... While i commend those who dare try i would also say that you will need to be prepared for many breakages which equals plenty of sideline time....

But seriously this has to be one of the most grueling races you'll run in and so long as you wont be disappointed with the outcome then its fine to run what you like. Infact its not so much the outcome but rather the pile of mess you'll be left with at the end of the day so if you can deal with snapped chassis and destroyed rare hard to find parts then go for it!

I will try to get down for this event and perhaps there can be a social day prior or post the main event to give us all a chance to gently run our vintage dream cars in a far less distructive environment. Personaly I find the no pressure fun runs enjoyable and no one has to destroy their old gems yet still get a run in. I know there will be folks flaoting around with decent camera's snapping away at all the cool cars as they cruize round the track.

Just a thought.
