Massive congrats to Mark. I was sitting there with toes, fingers & legs crossed.
If he did not get the penalty, he would have won by half a lap.

Fantastic stuff, very proud day for any Aussie race fan.

For those whinging about the move at the start (no matter how lame the officials were in giving out the penalty), HE SERVED HIS PENALTY and still won. You cant argue with his domination today.....

A W E S O M E

Cheers

Darryn

I nearly went to bed when he got the drive through, glad I didn't! It could have been a very different race if hamilton hadn't got that puncture

Well done, thoroughly deserved after some pretty tough years. As for the penalty, he swerved a bit too abbruptly to block Rubens - probably nerves. Otherwise that move is pretty typical off the start line, if he'd moved over a bit more gradually Rubens would have avoided him, as it turns out they clashed and he got a drive through. Pretty fair, but just shows how good the red bull is now.

p.s. Alonso with the fastest lap too!

Mark's quote from the press conference.

"Everyone in Australia that has supported me on the way through and of course there are a few people who doubted me too as well, so hello to them as well"

I love the second part

FARK!!,how much emotions did he show straight after crossing the line!!!

Talk about road rage!!!!!!

Must be an incredible rush and feeling to actually break through some ill fated races and disappointments! Good for him..Well done Mark!

Here is what Mark said about the move, you're right on the nerves in one way as his quote said he nearly had an involuntary nerve movement

"It is not really my style," he added, arguing that he was not aware the Brawn was alongside when he jinked to the right. "I moved across and then what made it worse was that I shitted myself and came back across again and I thought 'my God, there he is'," Webber explained.

It's actually the first time 'Advance Australia Fair' has been played in F1. The anthem was 'God Save the Queen' when Jones last won!!!

Does it really matter what anthem was played, it was still 28yrs since any aussie won and a national anthem was played be it "God save the Queen or Advance Australia Fair" hopefully it wont be another 28yrs and a new anthem
