Team Durango DEX410

Hi Guys

Just wondering how many people are interested in the Team Durango DEX410 that is about to be released? Seems to be lots of talk about it overseas but havent heard much talk locally.
To me it looks and sounds very impressive, not to mention would be great to see something different in 4WD than B44's etc (although starting to see a few more Cat SX's around), for those who dont know much about it here is a couple of links

I am seriously considering one, but would like feedback from you guys on your thoughts.

Hey Adrian

yeah lots of dudes have been talking about it, looks like a weapon, interesting that there will be a cheaper version coming along with ball diffs which some may prefer anyway, and i agree, the more diversity the better, theres a good mix at the moment getting around, 4wd is insane

Well its actually over 66000yen, so it will be around $900 landed here. I agree that the car looks gorgeous and the engineering is incredible. Gotta make you wonder though that release has been pushed back a month due to redesigning of some parts that have been failing. I would have to say that my b44 hardly ever breaks and that is a $500 roller so the durango at almost double the price would have to be pretty damn special

It's a really innovative design. You don't even need wires or a receiver :)

Parts failing? do you know which parts? But if the one month delay is to correct these issues thats got to be a good thing:nod:
Also love the way the design makes it so easy to maintain.

Unfortunately I dont know. I am just saying that the car will have to be damn good to justify it's price tag. The car just looks so strong and I cant even imagine what would break on it :weird:

I had a good look at Billy Easton's Durango prototype at the 07 worlds it looked super hot back then, the final version looks even better.

I remember it was super stable and jumped awesome.

If i were going to buy a new 4WD i would get one:)

lets hope the oil diffs fixes the sound because Billy's car sounded like a lawn mower running over a cat

hehe that right, but i think it was from using associated diffs!

Also i think painy can take the recognition for it using a front swaybar, i remember a big converstation between the painy and billy and the designer about how good he thought front swaybar were!

About 3 weeks ago I sent an email to Durango asking about availability in Aus. They replied they were in negotiations at this time with a distributor. Anyone know who?

ASH93A 08-13-2009 03:03 AM

OK, so it there was a Australian distibutor who here would definetly be interested in getting one of these cars...
