Total Suggested Retail Price $69.70 (well know Sydney Hobby store)

Let’s compare apples with apples –

RC Mart

TYRE COMPETITION 36R 2PCS X 2
INSERT TYPE C MEDIUM 2 PCS X 2
DISH WHEEL 4 PCS X1

Total Price USD $28.39
FREIGHT EMS (Average 3 Days) USD $23.46

Total USD $51.85 @ .81AUD* $64.01 (no GST)
*(you always buy AUD at a lower rate see XE)

CMC Special event price

TYRE COMPETITION 36R 2PCS X 2
INSERT TYPE C MEDIUM 2 PCS X 2
DISH WHEEL 4 PCS X1

Total AUD $59.95 Inc GST
FREIGHT EXPRESS POST (Next day) $10.00 Inc GST

GST must be charged – it’s the law

Total $69.95 Inc GST

Saved $5.94 (Benefit to the Australian economy $0.00)

When was the last time RC Mushroom supported/organised a local Aussie event?

Great business analogy. Import one set. Be realistic. You would get at least 5 sets for the same shipping price so say freight is $US5 per set. That is $US33.39. That converts to $41.22. Add GST and the total is $45 a set. Still nowhere near your SPECIAL of $55 plus freight . And you charge $10 freight for something that would get in a 500g EXpress Post bag which is $8.50. That is gouging .

Face it Matt, you have no ideas for the Ideas Man

Maybe that is where you have gone wrong with XRAY parts. Importing one item at a time.

And support an event? You were the one who complained about me giving a free airfare out at the Nationals for the Mini class. Great supporrt Matt

Cant, wait for Foams to come back in, people might actually race. Like really these are the biggest joke of all time. They bring in a Control tire so everybody is in the same boat but then let people un-control the tire with traction compound....that makes sense.

When will people wake up to the fact, do the maths, I have and just cant justify racing at big meets so I dont normally comment, I just dont race, I wonder how many others do the same. Racing these days would be the cheapest it has ever been apart from one factor.

I doubt foam tyres will ever come back in. If it does we may as well never travel overseas again.

Oh yes we would hate to affect the 3 people who travel OS
What about the 300 people who race within Australia?

Also, just as you dont see nitro cars running on rubber, i think you will see some push to change tire rules given that IFMAR has just adopted Lipo for Mod onroad. The current technology in rubber tires is just not up to the kind of abuse the cars are now able to deliver.

This will be interesting to watch. I think if you allow foam back in though we may end up with ESC/motor problems again but none the less will be interesting to see what happens.

Yes I would say watch this space.

I would rather have people race again then worry about the very very few people that want to race o/s twice a year. They can always still run whatever they like. Open choice.

Default Event Special Deal

Great News . . .

For all the Bikers out there intrested in running the 1/8 bike class, Custom Model Cars as another shipment of the Venom Bikes arriving next week.

Please call us for event special rate as the price will be to cheap to advertise on the net

The catch: You will have to swing by the shop to buy the bikes at this extra special low price

And yes, its way lower than the price on the CMC website!

PS: The shop phone number is on the front page of the website.

Guys I think its about time we got back onto the subject of the thread.

I'm looking forward to a good weekends worth of racing to give me good practice.
It also looks like the whalan guys have done a fantastic job with the track, now we just need to know what layout they are going to run................
