Same thing Robbie, people who either dont know better or couldnt be stuffed obeying the written rules.

Re the SA titles, see rods quote, from the same importer supplying the same tire bragging that they can supply at $35 under any circumstances. Even worse for the participants of that event is that the importer can now no longer supply the tendered tires, and claims that some other unproven tire will be supplied only weeks before the event.

Pity the prize of a return trip to BKK to compete in the TITC event for the winner of the Mini class was rejected because some of the petty importers sponsoring part of the event seem to be scared of my business

I stress that this is not the fault of the organisers as from what I have seen so far this will be a great event

Oh well, saves me money

Think of all the tyres and inserts that would have been both in preparation for the south aus nationals, So now they are out of stock dont worry about the your previous setup, as i know i have just ordered 3 sets so i can get my setup on the way.

this is a farce. never mind the pricing

Also to see such a great price that would have pull allot of mini drivers in from all over. pulled over petty s#Qt. is a great shame.

not that i would be any way near the pace.

Why cant we run a controlled tyre event that we turn up with our 36 sorex c med inserts and rims still in packs, just like they will when we buy them and glue them under scrutineering like we will.

Or is this just so the the a so said importer can drive more business abroad because its not the hobby shops taking the cream.

there is a law in australia that that states the right of competition even though you may have a distribution right

Stop the monopoly keep the racers racing as they sale the products.

I only know of one shop front hobby shop in australia that caters to the racer who are holding a warm up event ( limited knowledge, Nsw. But i did say Australia ))

Default 1/12th battery spec

Can anyone confirm battery spec for 1/12th scale at this years nationals?
i.e: if running nimh, is it 4600mah,5000mah or 5300mah? will LIPO be allowed?
Thanks
Chris

Ok why is the price $75 for one class at nationals??? Then for an extra class its an additional $45.

Why the hell is it so expensive. And also why dont we have an option to pay for the banquet or not. Is this just so they make more money??

have a look at the GP nats , you have to pay extra for that banquet as well, my thought is if you cant afford it then dont race, how do all the supplied things get paided for if entry was $20 or $30 its just not possible, thats life really move on.

Why does the supplier of the control tyre promise that they can meet the AARCMCC price cap but then break that promise and force us to pay too much for tyres if we want to compete?

With all due respect Chad to you and the work you do for the "Club", that is bullshit. its not the way it is, the WAY IT IS is per the rules of the governing authority ARCMACCA's, with Brad Davis as the President, Ellis as the electric head, and TJ as a contributor, all living in the local area, with Brad the owner of the facility, then they should all know better than try and dupe the racers.

Ari has quoted the price as not a problem, so assuming he is playing to the rules, then someone is pocketing the difference. If he isnt playing the game he should be rendered ineligible to supply the tires as its outside of the tender rules.

So come on Brad (or even Jimmy if Brad cant), step up and give us a real reason?????? I am not the only one asking for a public response.

How much were the nats last year?

It's not a matter of "if you cant afford it then don't race", most of us can afford it, the vast majority of us just don't like being ripped off. Given how many sponsors are listed, I can't imagine how an entry fee above $50 could be justified

On the upside, it looks like competition will be hot at the warm up race

Turn back the clock roughly 12 months and consider the uproar that came due to a $7 increase in the cost of the control tire - due to the Australian dollar collapsing. Keeping in mind, the supplier later withdrew the increase and supplied the tires at the original and 'required' price, as per AARCMCC rules.

Dont you think it is appropriate that someone justify the $30 increase in the primary class entry fee, AND the $20 increase in the secondary class entry fee, AND yet again the $7 increase in the cost of the control tire - which the supplier boasted they would NOT have applied last year.

In reference to the banquet, sure it IS a great idea to raise money for the club etc, but it ISN'T to everyone's liking and as such shouldn't be mandatory as part of the entry. For those that wish to attend, they will pay the extra, for those that dont- they shouldn't be subjected to that cost.

As mentioned above, you are right, racing at these events is expensive, but you're wrong in assuming most of us cant afford it. MOST of us just dont like being ripped off, and forced to pay extra for a service that has been previously provided at a lower cost.

Its also disappointing to see the lack of 'official' reply to all of the concerns previously mentioned.
