affiliation question....if I'm a member of an AARCMCC affiliated nitro offroad club, does that entitle me to run at the EP onroad event? or do I need to also join an ep onroad club?
To clarify the affiliation, your club can affiliate in up to three different sections.
These are ELECTRIC SECTION (ES), INTERNAL CONBUSTION SECTION (IC), and LARGE SCALE (LS). Within both the Electric and IC sections, there are two divisions - On Road and Off Road. Your club can affiliate with both divisions providing they are in the same section without an additional affiliation fee. This is because On Road and Off Road clubs typically stay within their own interests and through this, we are able to provide better communication within each division. For example, there is little point asking the IC On Road clubs to provide feedback and voting on IC Off Road technical rule changes.
Example 1: "Alpha" club affiliates into the Electric Section, however marks "On Road". This means that the financial members of that club are able to compete in official AARCMCC Electric Section On Road AND Electric Section Off Road events. That club will receive official correspondence for the Electric Section On-Road division only.
Example 2: "Beta" Club has AARCMCC Affiliation for IC and Large Scale sections. Those members wishing to participate in a sanctioned Electric Section race meeting will be eligible to compete providing they are a financial member of an affiliated Electric Section club. As such that member will not be eligible to represent "Beta" club at that race meeting as the club is not affiliated with the Electric Section.
hope this helps brad

Once again, so much for the MACCA's tire price cap of $35 a set.
Sorry to hi jack but with the world economy the way it is you'd be off ya tree to think you can get tyres for $35 a set Why on earth they have not changed it recently is beyond most ppls comprehension but that is what governing bodies are for innit. We have $40 for a set tyres for the SA states and 4 weeks out have been told by the importer that the spec tyre is no longer in stock or being made and a new shipment of replacements are due a week before the event. that...
Id also like to add to the mini debate. If a new racer wants to buy a M05 and race the nat's without much experience good luck to them. That said you'd be mad to bring anything but a tried and tested M03 to try and keep up with the crazy mexican's...

I find it interesting that HEI said they could supply tyres at $35 a set last year (when the dollar was at below 60c US) but now they are at $42 (and the dollar is at above 80c US)

If I (as a smaller importer) could manage to supply tires at $35 for last years nats (without loosing money)
Someone is certainly taking us for a ride,

Even at online retail prices you could land them for around $35 a set. So why cant the importer be able to source them at a lower price? If their supply chain is so poor that they cant at least match online retail, then they should give up, and concentrate on the uninformed RTR market.
Also Per Rod's quote, Ari's comment was part of a bashing Rod was getting when he attempted to provide excuses as to why he couldnt meet the price per the rules. In the end the price was reduced to the $35, so there should be no reason why this wont happen again this year.
Although looking at the SA titles thread, their ability to supply to an event should be seriously questioned, this is also not the first time that they have failed to fulfill their obligations for a control tire event.

2 requests, and no reply, is it cause no one has a legit answer?
Even the sponsor himself bragged about his ability to meet the cap under any external forces.

Not to hi-jack but i noticed the price of tires for the upcoming SA Titles are also $40/set. Wondering if that event is still being run under the same rules as the nationals will be, and whether they are as per the current rules online that state $35/set as the cap?
