Default 2009 NSW Off Road Club Series

It is a huge loss that TJ has decided to pull out of running the Off Road Challenge Cup Series this year. Trev has done a lot for this to happen and both he and Linda have done a great job.

So where do we go from here?

I have started this thread to get the ideas rolling in. Dates have already been set for the events this year, however these also took into account Trevor and Linda's availability. Do we make new dates?

Moreso do we keep it as a Series? Or do clubs now want to just have their own big meet?

It's something we need to make a decision on very quickly. St Ives round is coming up in just 2 months.

Thanks again Trev and Linda.

Regards
Tom.

Can't see why the clubs couldn't work together to make it a series still. I guess you're more likely to get people going to every race then.

St Ives and Maitland dates could be moved to 5th sundays of their current scheduled months so they don't clash with anyones club race days..

We discussed this when preparing for the rounds late last year. Being only 1 day there wouldn't be enough time to have 2 more classes to support superstock (2wd and 4wd).
There was a vote to either keep truck or replace truck with superstock. It was voted that truck stays.

Default Superstock

Any chance of extending it to being a 2 day event

Remeber the flack that came from the 2 day meet for Ryde last year?

Another alternative is to run maybe Saturday afternoon and maybe a little under lights? During summer we have a lot of light anyway. That would be cool! (Unless you have a black car)

Good to hear.

I'd like to see all the clubs involved though, Not just the four clubs that were planned for this year.

I have been wondering the same too. Have not participated in the Challenge before. Seems like a great series.

EP Off Road is going to rock in 09.

Clubs have been contacted and waiting to see dates and stuff. Should be a goer in some form.

Castle hill has the states this year, so is Illawarra one of the four challenge cup rounds involved?
