Hi Tony. Can you push my entry over onto the 4WD side? I am only entering Monster until I get hold of a Tamiya as well.

Cheers,

Vincent

Done Vince...

Best find an M03 too, if you're coming down here you might as well get value for money!

Thanks for the tip Tony. But mine is a one-way trip and it's happening very soon. But an M03 would be nice. Or should that be an M05?

In no particular order - Tamiya M03 kit (50683), Tamiya 'M' grip (50684), Tamiya 'S' grip (53254), Tamiya Type A (53340) or Tamiya Super Slicks (53220) are all pretty damn good.
Also, Xpress mini treads (XPA-118), HPI X patterns (4565) and Ride Soft (3020) were good too.

Pressed for an opinion we'd suggest that treaded tyres are probably the better option though. But Tim summed it up nicely
"I'd be happy to race on any of these"

Oh and don't ask us what inserts, we just ran whatever was in the tyres we had, we dont fuss about inserts too much...

I'm so looking forward to this

It'll be good to catch back up with the Tasmanian nutters and put other names to faces.

Thanks mate.

Any idea on how many heats there will be per entrant/per class? (like how many batteries should I prepare to go through/recharge) and, will conventional Mini run to national specs - re: weight?

Current plans call for a min of 5 heats of Saturday, with an additional 2/3 on Sunday before the Finals.
I'm confident we can actually get more heats in yet so you WILL get value for money in terms of race time.

And the entry form does state that we run to VORTEC rules which are the same as the National ones.

Hey Tony, Still trying to rev the boys & 1 girl up out at Boronia for the Mini50 but not really getting a lot of bits yet. Will try again closer to the event. Pitty as mini is really booming out there. Twenty plus entries a week. Can't wait roll on July I say. Might even see ya @ the Vic's yet.
